Standard story 1993 2wd one ton truck. The good- Starts better,faster stronger than any other diesel I have. Newer brake vacuum booster, brake controller,alternator,crank sensor and alignment Recent tune up and TPS adjustment by Jim Jessup -those who know the B series engine have most likely heard of him . Engine is not "turned" up. Bone stock. Cummins B series, turbo charged and intercooled 3.54 gears, 20 mpg on highway.Transmission shifts well and has served me well for over 70K miles. 4 speed automatic. Flipover gooseneck hitch works well. Tires roughly at 60% Dependable and reliable, Very minor leakage and engine runs excellent. 264,xxx miles The bad- Seat is worn, headliner fell down last 4 months, Doors need adjusted. Last owner must have slammed them for years.I adjusted drivers door, it closes decent, but passenger doesnt catch well Not sure or whether transmission has ever been rebuilt. As stated I have driven this truck over 70K miles mostly unloaded, but have pulled a couple of 10K trailers with it and have never had a slippage issue with it. Shifts better now that Jim reset the TSP. Passenger door needs door panel re-installed Taligate included and in very good condition but the post is gone on the bottom right and top catch is bent. Cruise worked fine til about 3 months ago. Now its hit and miss. All other guages and odometer work fine. The Ugly- The roof is rusted Fenders have been busted up Front bumper is bent Drivers seat is torn, but boy is it still comfortable! Tailgate studs need worked over Paint starting to peel. Just your basic work truck thats dependable, reliable and mechanically sound. Aesthetically, it needs some help. Ive driven this truck all around the midwest and southern states and have never had an issue other than the alternator. I would drive it anywhere in the US, realizing its age , anything could happen. Of course my 97 has 2x the miles and I'd still take it cross country in a heartbeat too.
