1968 Austin Mini Cooper Mk II No Reserve. Take your chances bidding or secure your original Mini-Cooper with the Buy-It-Now option. You are looking at one beautiful example of this rare vintage British sports car complete with the Union Jack roof paint. 998cc motor. 4 speed manual. Over 13K invested. Many new or reconditioned parts including: Cylinder head rebuilt, carburetors rebuilt, distributor rebuilt, water pump rebuilt, new brakes, new tires, roll bar added, much more to list. Do not know actual mileage as the speedometer has been replaced. Rings, bearings and 3rd gear synchronizer will need to be replaced soon. Drives fine but you must occasionally double-clutch going into third. Front seats need repair/reupholstering. Back seat is in excellent condition. Small amount of rust on passenger door. This car belonged to my father who recently passed away before completing the items mentioned above. Now is an opportunity for another Mini enthusiast. The VIN number is as listed on the title although it has been pointed out to me that the 5 should be an S. Payment is due in full within seven days of end of auction.
