This particular example was obviously been well taken care of and was garaged most of its life. A file of maintenance shows a receipt dating back to 1989. The 2.7 litre motor was rebuilt approx. 16,200 miles ago at a tune of $7,700 !! Fortunately, this 911 was not a subject of obnoxious upgrades and has evaded ducktail spoilers, wide fiberglass flares or a funky interior that these early 911's, unfortunately, are notorious for having... Interior: Beautiful recaro sport seats that literally 'wrap' you around while driving around the corners, although they do show some patina such as wear around the bolsters, however are in good condition for its age! This interior retains its door pockets with NO UNUSUAL SPEAKER HOLES! The dash, like most the rest of car is in good condition for its age with no hairline crack to report. The headliner is in excellent shape with no unusual rips, tears or stains. Sit in the cockpit behind the famous Porsche 5-gauge cluster. All lights and guages work fine including the clock! Exterior: Paint code 436-9-3 translates to copper brown metallic. The paint is in excellent condition for its age and shows well for a driver. The body has excellent lines and margins, the doors shut like it did from the factory with the distinctive "ring". As with any 30+ year old car it does contain minor scratches/rockchips from use but is above average condition (please see pictures below). Being a a dry CA car the battery area, front suspension pan, floor pans, jack spurs and torsion bars are solid with little to no rust. Targa top is in excellent condition! The 4 iconic matching fuch rims are beautifully polished and completes the 911 package. Mechanical: Drives like an early 911 should. Engine overhaul performed by reknown T&D Perfomance Inc. located in Campbell, CA to a tune of $7,700 the 2.7 Litre - 6 cylinder horizontally opposed air-cooled motor starts right up everytime and produces great power and sound only found in the 2.7 litre motor. Engine # 6271675. It has the upgraded oil-fed carrera chain tensioners. The 5-speed 915 manual transmission with standard “H”pattern was resealed with synchros 1 and 2 replaced during motor rebuild. The car comes with a clear CA title that is ready to be handed off to the new owner.
