1993 Jeep Wrangler YJ - A Whole Lot of Fun!!! Thank you for viewing my auction. My wife and I recently purchased some land and are about to build our first home so the Jeep has got to go. We purchased it last February and have thoroughly enjoyed it, but now we can not find the time to use it. It is an awesome little Jeep, we put the hitch on it to hold our bike racks, threw the canoe on top in the summer and spent a lot of time curising the pastures on my grandfathers farm. Other that those trips here and there it has been used for the weekly run to the feed store and back, not enough to warrant keeping it. As I stated, we purchased the Jeep last February. At the time the Jeep was kept in a heated garage, since we have owned it it has stayed under an overhang behind my fathers garage; protected from the elements. The bodywork is solid, not rusted through, no paint peeling or fading. I have waxed it three times since owning it and always wash it with Meguiars wash/wax. The frame is solid and rust free aside from the very back on the drivers side, where the frame rail meets the rear bumper. This area has been wire brushed, primered, and repainted. The passenger side is perfect but I did the same wire brush, primer and paint as a preventative measure. All engine & transmission mounts are good to go. The Jeep passed the Maryland State Inspection last February when we purchased it, and a week before that it had passed the Maryland Emissions Test. Previous owner had redone the drivetrain, the motor is out of a 2001 Jeep Cherokee, had roughly 30,000 miles on it. The transmission was rebuilt by AAMCO and had roughly 800 miles on it. I replaced the clutch master cylinder with a brand new one from quadratec.com (Jeep Parts Superstore.) I also replaced the rear pinion seal. On September 25th I installed a brand new exhaust (cat-back) system; Dynomax Super Turbo Exhaust System. It has a good sound to it and a stainless tip. I change the oil regurarly, but there are no major leaks anywhere; just pulled it out from the overhand and there is not a trace of any fluid to be seen. The battery is an Interstate Dura-Tron. The 4-wheel drive works great, haven't had to use it too often just for putting around the farm, when I have used it it clicks right in and out. The Jeep shifts smoothly, the clutch is good and strong and it is just a solid little guy. The first thing I did when I purchased the Jeep was to pull all fo the carpet out. I stripped the inside of the tub and coated it with Herculiner (Herculiner.com). I have used this coating before and swear by it. I wanted to be able to just spray the inside of the Jeep out and scrub it down. The Herculiner seals the metal so that water can not get to it. It's just like those spray-on bed liners for trucks, except it is applied by hand. It came out really well and looks great. I did not re-install the rear seat or seatbelts but they do come with with the auction. I wanted to have more room for stuff in the back, but I did bolt a toolbox behind the seats to store/lock stuff in. The interior is in great shape, it does have rollbar pads and the windows of the hardtop are tinted. There is a newer (not factory) stereo/cd player wired up. It powers on and picks up great signal strength but I do not believe that it is wired to the speakers. We never worried about it because peace and quiet it just fine for us, but it is in there and ready to go. I replaced the molding around the front window frame as well as around the rear door; both purchased new from quadratec.com. The tires are BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A, size 30 x 9.5 R15 LT. They are mounted to aluminum wheels, made by Ultra Wheel Company. I also have a brand new tire as a spare, an identical BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A. The spare tire cover goes with the Jeep, I put the cover on to protect the spare from the sun (dry rot), and road dirt. The Jeep does not have a lift kit on it but these tires do not rub. I have been real happy with them, they are not too loud on the road but have that aggresive profile and that extra bite when you need it. As I mentioned earlier my wife and I installed the reciever hitch. We got it from quadratec.com, it is a Hidden Hitch Class III Trailer Hitch. Aside from using it for our bicycle rack we never really pulled anything with it, jockeyed our empty little cargo trailer around the yard, but that's about all. The hitch is a 2" size. This is a fun little Jeep, from June through October we had the doors off of it. I think the top was off of it all through July. It has never been used for offroading, mudding, rockclimbing or anything like that. There's not much more I can say other than it's a solid little Jeep, it runs like a champ.
