Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1963 Pontiac Catalina 2dr Post project. When was the last time you saw one of these at the car show? It would make an awesome 421 Super Duty clone or Nastalgia Super Stocker. I realized I have way too many projects, and need to part with some of them. Body- This is a original Skyline Blue car. The front fenders on the car are usable, and fairly straight. Both fenders have the typical small area of rust at the bottom edge. There is NO hood. The grilles are nice and straight. They are pitted, but definitely fixable. The doors on this car are very hard to find . They are in good condition with no rust. There is a dent in the passenger side door, but the sheet metal is not creased. The dent should easily pop out from the backside. The rocker panels are sound and rust free. The floor boards are very solid. The rust on the floors that you see in the pictures is surface rust. The trans tunnel has been damaged due to a clutch explosion at some point. However the damage is not major. I have not been able to get the trunk lid open, but it appears the center of the trunk pan has some rust issues. You can see this from the bottom. The drivers side quarter panel is straight and rust free. The passenger side panel has a dent in front of tail light that will require the attention of a body man. Both wheel houses appear fairly solid. The trunk lid will probly need to be replaced. It has a dent in the center and would probably be cheaper to replace with a trunk lid from a four door. There is a small amount of rust on the outer edge of the trunk sill. The tail lights are present , and both front and rear bumpers are good enough to use for cores. Roof is solid and straight. Most chrome trim and emblems are intact. Frame rails appear to be very solid. The car is not extremely rusty. Typical areas, but not excessive. Interior- The dash is complete with most gauges and switches intact. There is a back seat in the car, but is from a Gran Prix. The door panels are also from a Gran Prix , and are not correct for this car. There is NO front seat. All glass is intact including the VERY VERY hard to find back window. All glass appears usable except the front windshield. Engine- This was a 389, 3spd on the column car. The original engine and transmission are missing. The clutch pedal is also missing. This car is sold without engine or transmission. I know nothing about the condition of the rear differential. However it appears original to the car. I have tried to describe the car as honestly as possible. It is a non-running project car. I do not have a title for the car. It is being sold with a bill of sale only. Do not bid unless you intend to buy ! Car is sold as-is. If you have questions feel free to ask . Please refer to the pictures for additional information. GOOD LUCK and HAPPY BIDDING ! Car is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end auction at anytime. Shipping- Buyer is responsible for shipping and all shipping costs. Payment- $500 of purchase price due within 3 days of purchase through pay pal, or guaranteed funds. The rest is due upon pickup of vehicle. Vehicle must be picked up within 14 days of purchase unless arrangements are made.
