2006 Honda CBR

This auction is for my 2006 Honda 599. This bike was build in Italy and has been a best seller in Europe for many years, it is quite rare here in the states. It was only offered in the states for two years, with the 2006 model being the most desired. Barber Motor Sport Park motorcycle museum in Birmingham AL. has one in their collection. You will more than likely not see another one on the street. On several occasions while pulling into a parking lot people familiar with the 599 have come from inside the building just to take a look. However it is all Honda and parts and service are easily found at any Honda dealer. The 599 was never really appreciated in the states because of its high msrp. With it’s cbr 600 engine, inverted forks and rigid frame, the 599 is one of the leading performers in its class. Contrary to its quick handling and race derived engine, it also provides a comfortable seating position, making the 599 a great all rounder. This bike has 10,819 miles and is in excellent condition. The only flaw on the bike would be some very, very small chips in the front, lower area of the fuel tank that I got by following a truck to closely this spring attempting to pass. They are to small to show up in a picture and you would not even see them if they were not pointed out. Aluminum Renthal bars, Aprilia mirrors, and frame sliders are the only modifications to this bike. These mods have greatly increased the already beautiful look of the bike, all stock parts will be included along with a Givi wind screen. This bike has always been garage kept, meticulously serviced and never wrecked, dropped, raced, or stunted. The front tire was put on earlier in the 2010 season, the rear will need to be replaced soon. At 53 years old I have decided to sell some of my more playful bikes and shift my interests more toward touring. I reserve the right to end this auction early. Local pickup only.
