This NICE 2001 Dodge Durango R/T 4X4 has been donated to our non-profit organization, and we have not physically driven the vehicle ourselves. We understand that this Dodge has the 5.9 liter V8, and WILL NEED ENGINE WORK! We have been told that the timing chain went, and that it now has 1 or more bent valves. With this in mind, an engine rebuild or replacement will be necessary. The Durango was running fine until the beginning of December, so it has not been sitting long! This Durango has the R/T package (rare!), and has 178,413 miles on it. The body is in great condition (see pics), and the interior is also in good condition, but is showing minor wear and minor splitting on the leather seats. Also, the driver's side seat warmer does not work (easy fix!). The Heavy Duty transmission works fine, and it has power door locks, power windows, heated mirrors, CD and cassette and an electronic mpg computer! The dual-zone front AC and heat work fine, and the rear AC and heat work as they should. The tires are new, and were just replaced on the vehicle in August of 2010! The second and third row seats fold down for additional cargo space, and it does have a full hitch and hitch cargo tray that can go with the Durango.
