1978 Chevrolet C-10 Stepside Pickup Automatic Primer Gray Shortbed Stepside Wood Bed 350 Motor Automatic New Front Windshield Miles Exempt what a cool truck and one that would make a great winter project! Pull it in your garage, do some work and be amazed when you roll it out this spring. I took this truck in on a trade. It is in good shape. The body is straight. There is a slight wave on the passenger side right front fender by the hood. Nothing major. Truck is primer gray with a primer gray aftermarket fiberglass hood with scoop. The motor is a strong running 350 that fires right up. Interior is in good shape with heat and a/c controls. JVC CD Player. Automatic Transmission that shifts smoothly through the gears. Truck is in good mechanical shape but does show some age on it, it is 32 years old after all. The interior is not perfect as you can see from the pictures. It is not far off and by no means is it ratted out but you can tell it needs work. The motor runs strong and I see no problems with it at all. The exhaust pipes were cut off by the previous owner as you can see in the pictures and they stop underneath the cab. You would need to extend them or leave them as is, your choice. Reverse works but sometimes has difficulty engaging. What I mean is you have to play with the gear selector to get it to lock into reverse. Reverse is there, but there may be a problem with the linkage. The drivers side door cannot be opened from the inside. The latch needs replaced. When I got it the front windshiled was cracked. I replaced both the windshield and the trim with a new one. The windshield has the radio antenna built into it so that is there as well. No leaks or cracks. The right rear tire was nearly bald so it has a brand new tire on it. The other 3 tires show some wear but are in pretty good shape and definitely have some use left.
