You are bidding on a classic 1953 Ford Customline in very good condition. Runs and drives well. Original 272ci V8 engine. Original 3 Speed transmission Optional, removable rear-wheel skirts are included. Everything on this car is functional the clock, and the cigar lighter (it’s present, but fails to draw power). The reverse lights and horn currently don't operate, but I have replacement wires and switches that can be used to reconnect these. Even the original AM tube radio works! The frame is rock solid has some rust in the on the lower side as can be seen in the photos. Some rust on the exterior rocker panels, especially on the right side, but most of the exterior is rust free. The original blue paint is in mostly fade it the original upholstery on the rear and front seats is in good condition original foam padding is still inside. The Customline was Ford’s mid-range family sedan in 1953, between the Mainline and the Fairlane. This car has the standard flat head V8, but according to Wikipedia gets 162hp. It can easily perform at 70mph. This is the first year Ford used a 12 volt electrical system, which makes modern maintenance much easier.
