This one does. I can show you how to check. Otherwise you run the risk of the #8 cylinder cracking-a common flaw. If it does have the heavy block, it's virtually the same truck as a 00,01,02,03. Blair Outlan 901-378-8877 or blair@usedh1.com The other issue with 99s would be the TT4 system, (torque traq 4). The TT4 system puts the vehicle/abs controller in control of wheel slippage, this is done through the ABS system---a major drawback if something goes wrong (because you basically have a 2 wheels drive at that point) This truck, however has a low BTM (brake throttle modulation) setting, most 99s had an unusable manual BTM point. What is this? BTM lets you control the amount of wheel slippage by modulating the amount of brake and throttle--while you're driving--sending the torque/traction to the wheel with the most resistance and or traction. Call me for further explanation. A little about myself :I have been in the Hummer (H1) business for over 14 years, and was the General Manager of a Hummer dealership from 95-98 and have been buying and selling H1's since then. Having owned over 500 H1's in my Hummer career I'm definitely an expert on the H1. I'll be selling-buying-driving these beasts until I die. I'm different than a salesman at a dealership, I can afford these vehicles, drive them everyday, and if you'll let me--I'll buy it back when you want to trade up. I'll still be selling these trucks many years from now. I price these units to sell, I'm not asking some silly retail price, I have low overhead and live simple.
