I’ve been collecting unusual Italian cars for many years. Some I keep, some I sell after enjoying them for a while. This little Fiat 850 Coriasco truck I bought in 2004, from the second owner, who had it since 1996. After a lot of convincing on my part, I finally succeeded in purchasing the truck from him. The truck was never used for heavy hauling, only for light vineyard duties and errands, in a small city in the province of Verona, Italy. A friend of mine and I drove it over the Alps into Southern Germany to his shop, without incident. From there, it was shipped to the U.S., just a few weeks later. As it turns out, it was in great condition, and only needed new fluids, tires, and a brake adjustment. As you can see, the truck bed was beautified with diamondplated steel. The interior is clean as it is, and everything is in working order. There is no rust damage--only some surface rust, as it was only driven in sunny Italy. The exterior definitely shows normal wear, i.e. small dings, small scratches, and nicks, but this all contributes to a wonderful patina, and to the character of this wonderful vehicle, which I believe to be the only Fiat 850 Coriasco Truck in the U.S. My wife and I took the truck out of storage after some months and drove it on the freeway—it did just fine. It has an Italian title showing only two elderly Italian owners, and also a Maine title, which can easily be transferred, even in the state of California, as it’s a 1974 vehicle, and no smog is required. I will deliver the truck, at no charge, within a 100-mile radius of Riverside, CA. I will also help with shipping elsewhere, even though shipping cost will be the responsibility of the lucky buyer.
