Up for bidding is a mint 1974 Triumph Spitfire. I accquired this car from a same family owned since new(father to son), it has 75k original miles. The car is fully restored in 2004 and rarely driven since then. The fully restoration on this classic chrome bumpers Spitfire is including a new professional paint job in original sapphire blue(code#96) and it still shinning like a mirror. The interior was redone at the same time, it has new seat covers, door panels, new both side mirrors, factory carpeting & pads, glove boxes (both sides), rear panel, new seat belts, new pedals rubber pads, rear quarter panels, rear view mirror, sun visors, wooden dash, fuzzy door seals, outer & inner window seals, recovered radio console support, original Leyland AM/FM radio but not hook up, new antenna. Also, I just replace a new cardboard gas tank cover, new trunk mat. The car is running great, it has an upgrades Weber carburetor , electric fuel pump. Also, it has new battery, spark plug, spark plug wires, oil changed within 200 miles, newly painted valve cover & gasket, new gear & differential fluid, replaced front & rear drive shaft U joints. It has a four speed manual transmission, smooth shifting and no gears grind, new clutch was installed within 1000 miles ago(no overdrive), rear shocks are fairly new, new rear wheel bearing kits included(not yet install) muffler is fairly new. All brakes are working great, I using Silicone Dot 5 instead(system is completely flushed). Recently all wheels were sanded, painted, balancing and including all new air valve stems, new chrome wheel lug nuts, brand new four chrome wheel trim rings. The car has a beautiful original factory hardtop and it is in very nice clean condition, the soft top has tear on one side of clear plastic window & small tear on vinyl but it is still serviceable. I also replaced rubber fuel neck, windshield wiper arm rubber bases, wheels arch rubbers. The car has been in California since new. Oh, did I mention that since it is a 74 so it is smog exempt in CA and many other States as well. There is no major accident or damaged report. Including with the car is a very nice convertible top boot cover, tonneau cover, car cover, luggage rack, tools kit, spare tire cover but no spare tire, shop manual. You won’t find non nicer 74 Spitfire than this one. This car derserves to go to someone who will maintain it in its present condition. I set a low buy now price, so here your chance to own it for a fraction of the costs to restore one. You will enjoy driving it across the wine country or good enough to straight to a concours show, either way its will put a smile in your face.
