Vehicle Detail

Up for sale unfortunatly! Is my 1968 Pontiac Lemans Convertible. It has all of it's original running drivetrain. It has a YN Code 350ci/265Hp two barrel motor with it's 2 Speed 300 Automatic Tranny with floor shift and Bucket seats. This convertible is a true exterior R Code-Solar Red with a Interior trim code 224 Parchment with a White Convertible top. The nice thing about this convertible is the Floors are very solid but not 100% perfect. The trunk floor does have a surface rusting with a few pin holes and the interior floors are real nice but you do have a very small 2" patch on the passenger front floor but by no means major!! The frame is straight and solid! The cowl windshield area is also very nice and the header bow is good also. The car can be a driver with a little Brake line work. It runs very well and has a true newer dual exhaust and has a newer set of rear coil springs installed. The body of this car has nice lines and has alot to offer! It does have the usual Gto/lemans rusting in the lower rear sections of the fenders and has some in door corners and there was a little work done around the rear wheel well lip edges? The inside wells look solid and rear quaters are still the originals. The rear bumper is extremely nice and the rear tailight lenses are also! The trunk lid is very good but not perfect. The trunks drain lip edge is in super condition with the rear tailpanel also in solid condition! The front valance panel is pretty good but not perfect! The chrome bumper was painted over the years but is solid and straight. The hood is also good and never kinked. This convertible wears all it's original stainless chrome and they are in very nice condition to boot. The convertible top with it's plastic rear window is dirty but was replaced by a weekend warrior and is still not 100% installed correctly. The top frame is in good working condition but is missing it's original 68 power switch. The wires are there to make contact so the top will go up and down. The original interior needs some work. The drivers seat is out of the car and has been disassembled and needs foam and reupholstering. The passenger seat is complete and in the car still with back rear seats in solid condition but have spotting on them and will clean up but need to be Dyed or reuphostered also. The front door panels need work and the rears have been cut with small round speakers. The floor console T handle 2 speed (PRNDL) is all there and in good working order. The dash pad has some cracks but for the most part looks very presentable for being 42 years old! The Factory radio opening has never been cut or altered! A major plus! The Lemans has few options:Power steering and wonder touch power drum brakes. It has a nice set of Rally II 14" rims with nice trim rings and very nice PMD black center caps. I hate to sell this one because it is very solid and will be hard to replace! But, I have to many to redo and life has thrown a bit of a curve recently and this one needs to be sold. This is a perfect Father/Son/Wife Original Convertible to Drive and work on as you enjoy it next season! A little work over the winter season and you will have a super 1968 Pontiac muscle car for a very resonable price! Christmas is almost here and what better way than a nice Red Christmas Present to yourself or family!!! The winner of this car will have No disappointments on the conditions of the car and how it runs and drives and what you have. Extra=I also have a good 1968 Gto Hood & Endura front bumper and a complete but disassembled 1969 Gto 400ci/350Hp YS motor (Needs rebuild) paired up with a totally rebuilt zero miles 1969 PX Gto tubo 400 tranny and an Original 1968 Gto His/Hers floor Shifter. These extra parts are not included in this auction but will be offered to the winning bidder for extra if wanting to clone. Local pick up is great and buyer will be responsible for it's transportation! It will need to be towed due to a busted brake line. Other than that the car can be driven but would not suggest! It has been sitting around for a bit and things do happen when idle for time! I also can offer delivery within the Ct/MA/NY/NJ area and will also be for a resonable extra fee. All questions are welcome and please ask them prior to auctions end and before placing a bid! Good luckOn Dec-18-10 at 09:57:54 PST, seller added the following information: I do have a few local area People coming to look over the Convertible Today Saturday, I reserve my right to sell car outright if my original Buy it now $6000 price is met!
