Vehicle Detail
51seagate store 12/12/10 - RE-LISTED WITH A LOWERED BUY IT NOW AND RESERVE - PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU WOULD LIKE MORE INFO ETC...THANKS FOR LOOKING!! 1966 TR 4-A - Originally shipped to California in March 1965. Spent it's entire life in Southern Ca and then shipped to New Jersey in 2003 where it has been lovingly cared for, garaged and only driven about 100 miles in the past 7 years. Please note: The mileage on the odometer is likely 100k miles plus 6980 however that cannot be confirmed as fact - the mileage on the odometer when I bought this car read 6,880. Very Original car that has been tastefully & correctly updated over the past 2 years including all mechanicals and some cosmetics ie new wire wheels / tires. This car is accident free and only had very little minor rust issues which have been attended to.All work expertly done by true British car craftsmen and enthusiasts at one of the best shops on the East Coast = Motor Car Garage of Maple Shade, NJ...All receipts in hand and available. Nice black interior with original seats and wood dash (the dash has some de-laminating going on in the lower right corner so a new one might be interesting although I chose to keep it as it is, original). The carpets and under-padding are new. There is no radio and some of the knobs could stand replacement - again all original. The engine compartment is neat, clean and proper. The only notable rust was some pin size rust holes around the foot section of the floors but that was very minor and has been well attended to - otherwise the car is beautifully dry and rust free. The paint looks fine from 10 feet away is still very very acceptable however that would have been the next item to address but again it is still in very usable condition and when waxed has a lovely shine and natural patina which any collector will love and perhaps chose not to repaint.I am including a pic of the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate which is a certified copy of a Factory Record. This document confirms the car's original color from the factory was indeed Signal Red, Trim = Black (Leather) and Hood (top) White. The date of build was March 13, 1965 and it was shipped to Los Angeles March 18, 1965. Because it wasn't sold/titled until 1966 it is considered a 1966. The Engine # & Body # are also on the Certificate and they confirm what is in the car = all numbers are matching. I would be more than happy to provide all the nitty gritty details of what work and updating has been done - just inquire or give me a call and we can discuss whatever you wish. One of only 28,465 TR4-A's built. More than $10,000 spent over the last 2 years updating all systems - All work was performed by the British Sports Car experts at Motor-Car Garage, Maple Shade, NJ, Receipts available. Good luck to all & Happy Bidding !!~Cheers ~Steve: 732-966-5230
