Vehicle Detail

Your bidding on a 1980 Suzuki GS1000G. The bike is shaft drive. This bike has beed hardtailed in the rear and has had 3 degrees added to the rake for a low modern look. Everyone loves this bike from young to old! Everything on this bike has been looked at and either fixed or replaced. The following items are new: -Front and rear tires ( 1 season on them now) -Front master cylinder -Stator -Regular/Rectifier -Front wheel bearings -Rear wheel bearings -Front wheel bearings -Upper and lower neck bearings -Final drive bearing -Front and rear brake pads -Rear brake light switch -LED brake lights -LED tail lights -Starter switch -Headlight switch -Engine gasket set -Transmission gear set -Oil: Engine oil, fork oil, transmission (Hypoid) Final drive oil (hypoid), front brake fluid, rear brake fluid. -Battery (1 season) -Foot pegs There has also been a ton of parts sandblasted and powder coated Gloss Jet Black including the following: -Lower fork legs -Upper and lower triple trees -Entire frame -Rear swing arm -Side pans -Air filters -Carb diagram caps and float bowls -Clutch cover -Points cover -Valve cover -Engine guards -Rear brake pedal -Foot pegs -Stator cover -Shifter cover -Shift lever -Clutch lever -Front master cylinder and lever -Master cylinder cover -Headlight -Fuel tank -Front and rear brake rotors The bike runs great. It starts a little slow as its slightly cold blooded but definitely starts faster then most harleys ive been on. The throttle response is crisp through the entire RPM band. I start the bike on full choke then after about a minute turn the choke off. The carbs have been completly rebuilt and jetted to match the open exhaust and open air filters. It shifts fantastically through all 5 gears since the transmission was rebuilt. The LED brake lights are good and bright. There is a bicycle speedometer on the bike to keep the low profile look. It reads absolutly accurately as it has been calibrated to +/- 1 MPH. Ive had the bike up to 100 MPH with a Garmin GPS on the tank and it read exactly through the whole range. The high temp ceramic paint on the engine could use a touchup as it is wearing thin from cleaning all the time. There is 1 dime size dent in the tank which is hard to notice. The choke cable is not hooked up as i never used it. It is now back on the bike however and could be hooked up easily once 1 bracket is put on the bike. The factory speedometer said 10,292 miles when i took it off and ive put on about 3k miles since but i cant guarentee the milage is 100% correct as i dont know if the factory speedo was right to begin with. I get attention on this bike wherever i go. The bike is super fast and a blast to ride around! This bike would be an awesome commuter bike from work or school. Its fun to see the "Harley guys" eyeing the bike as you ride by them cause its different. You could flip the bars around and throw on some road pegs on the engine guards and be able to cruise as long as you wanted to. I really would like to keep the bike but i need to get rid of it to fund the next project. I have 2 videos posted. 1st to show a walk around of the bike ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3Rqf2cEQu4 ) and a 2nd to show the speedo working ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIlZRMxSYPg ) I think that covers everything but im sure im missing something somewhere so feel free to ask any questions. $250 deposit due immediately upon conclusion of auction. Balance of payment due before shipping or pickup. Shipping or pickup is the sole responsibility of the buyer. Seller is available to deliver the bike to a freight center for shipping.
