Honda CB750 F1 Super Sport in AMAZING ORIGINAL CONDITION First year SuperSport. Redesigned oil tank. Redesigned airbox I remember working at a Honda dealership in my hometown in the mid seventies when Honda released the line of Super Sports. They were quite exotic at the time and in high demand. As the head mechanic at the time I had a chance to ride each model and evaluate the performance. These were clearly head and shoulders above the other standard bikes Honda had in their line-up that year in the way of Looks, Perfomance, and Handling. I remember the CB400 Super Sport made quite an impression on the customers because of the clenched fist arrangement of the Exhast plumbing and six speed gearbox which drew the spotlight away from my favorite...The Powerful and Great handling 750 Super Sport. For me the CB400 Super Slug (we quietly nicknamed them because we sold a bunch) was just a warmed over version of the anemic CB350 Four. This is the fourth bike like this that I have owned, and the nicest original of the lot. I was originally going to keep this but income deficit forces me to finally let go. This bike is in immaculate original condition with a complete tune consisting of: New points breaker plate, Carb sync with mercury sticks, Oil/filter. New Battery, New teflon coated Clutch and throttle cables, New fork seals and fork hydraulic fluid New Honda Petcock and Tygon fuel lines. New Honda air filter, New IRC period tires tubes bands. New D.I.D. O-ring chain with new sprockets. Its geared to the original spec CB750K (highway gearing) 18/34 New brake master and caliper rebuild using genuine Honda parts throughout. This bike has the original one year only orange sunburst metal flake which is nearly flawless. The inside of the tank is completely rust free and uncoated. There are no oil, fluid or exhaust leaks. Everything works and all helmet lock, Fork Lock, and seat latch are keyed to the original Honda Key. Comes with Original TOOL KIT, Manual and original owner's paperwork! All original decals and warning stickers are intact with the exception that I purchased the reprint, and installed on the gas cap cover as original. There is no rust or corrosion anywhere including the forks rims and exhaust. The bike was obviously seldom if ever parked outside. The seat cover has been professionally replaced with a very authentic reproduction and installed by American Sport Seating, a reputable company . As a former factory trained Honda career mechanic this is the cream of all the Super Sports I have ever owned and I would like to point out that his is the most collectable CB750 next to the original K0 Sand Cast model. It handles extremely well, makes more HP than the K models and is a complete GAS to ride. The 4 into 1 exhaust makes the bike sound very aggressive without being obnoxiously loud. It is very comfortable for commuting, two up riding, and is big enough for touring. I would say of any bikes I own this one gets all the "thumbs up". Don't let the miles deter you. This bike is an example of a well maintained bike ridden and kept serviced by a prudent owner. I have sold bikes with lesser miles but not nearly as mechanically sound as this one. The engine is very smooth and quiet and runs well on regular ethanol pump gas.
