This is a clean, dry, Texas, original, 2 owner,1968 Dodge Charger. We received this car in our shop, The Muscle Car Gym, to start a restoration on and unfortunately the owner can't finish the project. We have pulled the motor and tranny,( not original,but a correct 318 and 727) which runs great and freshened it up (gaskets, seals, etc.) The body is dry and straight, no accidents that we've found. We put the black sealer on the car just to preserve it until we could get started, under which is the original green paint, not in great shape therefore the sealer, but original. It not only has the fender tag, but if you look closely in the picture of the back seat through the trunk you'll see the original build sheet. Is this a R/T or a Hemi car? No, but a nicely equipped car with a few options like Auto, A/C, Tick Tach Clock, Buckets, Console, etc. This car is solid, but needs to be restored. It needs a trunk pan (which they all do, due to the trunk seal leaking) and some work around the rear windshield glass (it was a vinyl top car) and maybe a patch panel at least on the passenger side rear lower 1/4, a little rust through on passenger front floor board, and that's about it! It needs a hood, original owner put a fiberglass one on.The pictures don't do the car justice, you need to see it and we welcome all inspections before the sale. We will be glad to finish this car for the new owner or help you finish it yourself. We are trying to help the owner, and the reserve is reasonable, so please don't ask.
