Vehicle Detail

Here's a pair of '86's. An F-250 6.9 Diesel 4x4 and a F-150 5.0 EFI 2 wheel drive. Repair each individually or combine the two into one nice truck for a winter project. The F-250: Originally from Groh Farms in Fairfield, Ohio, it was purchased by my friends' father in 2002, then I bought it from him last August with the intent to repair and resell. So I guess you could say its only a two owner. It runs good and has new tires and a new fuel pump but needs batteries. The glow plug controller was acting up after my young son left the key on, but it seems to work o.k. for now. The power lock and window switches get finicky from time to time as well. But the air conditioning is original and cold which I find surprising on a truck of this vintage. Other points of interest is that his has the venerable C6 transmission and 4.10 gears. The bad part is that it is very rusty, probably from hauling fertilizer when it was a farm truck. The F-150: A one owner vehicle that my dad bought new in Sept. '86. It has been plagued with various fuel system problems from not driving it on a regular basis. It has had a new in-tank fuel pump, fuel regulator, and filters all in the last year. Sometimes it runs good, sometimes it wants to fall on its face. At one time it gave up a code for an EGR valve that was never replaced. The odd thing about this truck is that it is an XLT Lariat, but it does not have power windows or locks, or cassette player. The body is straight except the left bedside is caved in a little. Dad cut a turn too sharp on a rainy night. Both trucks come with a clear Ohio title. Please note that my starting price is the value of these trucks at the scrapyard. The F-250 weighs around 6000 lbs. and the F-150 is around 5000 lbs. That's good for $1155 at current local scrap prices. Payment in cash upon pickup preferably within 14 days of auction close. Check my feedback. E-mail with questions.
