The Toyota Land Cruiser is the best riding SUV you will ever experience. The Land Cruiser was the first automobile Toyota ever sold in the USA back in the 1960s. The early versions were built with solid front axles and heavy duty leaf springs that were almost unbreakable off road but rode like a tractor on road. In 1998 Toyota upgraded the suspension to include independent front suspension and coil springs on the rear which improved the on road ride to near limousine standards. In addition Toyota installed a new super smooth V8 engine that operates in near silence. The transmission is a full time 4 wheel drive unit that insures maximum traction in all conditions.
