1925 FORD MODEL T COUPE - TWO SPEED AXLE - This vehicle was purchased by my Dad in the 1950's from an elderly farm couple, who I remember drove it to our country church in the 1930-40's. It has been in a garage for the 55 years since, driven only for occasional parades. Age and health is the reason for my selling it now. This Model T is in good working condition, it is fun to drive, and should make an excellent restoration project in that you are starting with an original vehicle. It starts easily, runs and drives on either magneto or battery, better on battery. I'm not sure if or when the engine has ever been worked on. It comes with a factory speedometer, starter, and two speed rear axle giving it four speeds forward, which I am told is somewhat rare. There is surface rust, but the body is solid and appears to need little significant body work except sanding and painting. Doors open and close nicely. The only rust thru I have observed is a spot in the rear of the trunk where water apparently couldn't escape, and there is a small ding in the right front fender. The floorboards are original and solid, glass is original, no dings in the radiator, upholstery is rotted, but sidepanels and seats are complete and usable. There are no fluid leaks, tires and wheels appear excellent, roof and visor are solid. Some repair items I do know it needs include: transmission bands drag and need adjust/replace, trunk latch is missing, horn is taken off and I assume needs work, left window riser is removed and needs repair/replacement, rewiring, and flushing the cooling system, it has heated on warm days. The jack, horn, window riser and a clear title go with the car. You are welcome to inspect in person, location Sioux Falls, SD.
