1970 Torino Cobra, 429 Cobra Jet automatic, p/s, pdb, factory black paint! This Cobra is almost completely rust free, it has only 88K orig miles. The original engine has the vin stamp on it and has been rebuilt. The engine has been upgraded to SCJ specs with forged pistons and a solid lifter camshaft. It has been balanced and a factory Ford dual point distributor was added as well. The engine even wears the original and very hard to find heat shield. The trans has a correct cast iron tail housing but it has a different vin stamped into it. There is no torque converter and I assume the trans will need a rebuild. The rear diff is the factory 3.00 N case 31 spline posi!. This car has a nice body that is almost ready for paint. It has never had a repaint yet. The drivers front floor pan will need replaced or repaired but all the rest are very nice. The data plate is still on the core support also. The original bumpers have been re-chromed. I just dropped the engine in the car for shipping, the mount brackets were on the engine but I used some old isolators I found around the shop. The engine is not sitting completely straight but is fine for shipping. It will probably require new/correct isolators. This factory black Cobra would look AWESOME finished and would be a great alternative to a Mustang Mach 1, Shelby or Boss if you have a family to haul around. If you consider the value of a rebuilt CJ engine this complete, the transmission and N case posi you are getting a very solid black Cobra body for virtually free.
