Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 1969 Pontiac Convertible that was born a Tempest Custom S and over the years took on that true Gto muscle car look and power! I have all reiepts to prove all work mentioned was done! Amounting towards about $7000 and up. This 1969 Poncho had a New Blue paint job and New Convertible White Top with weatherstripping and a back glass window and well replaced. It underwent some body restoration work also prior to paint done back in the year 2000. Not a bad job but soon after the Poncho was set outside to fend off the Northeastern weather with just a simple tarp covering most it but not all. The weather started to win the battle. Rust bubbling and then a tree branch fell onto the convertible top and poked a couple holes in it. It has White duct tape protecting those areas. What a shame!!The previous owner told me that his wife would not let him put it in there garage that they had???I won't even go there with this one! It has bubbling in some areas on the car: The common rear edges of the rear quaters/Rust bubbling on the lower drivers side door/A repair on the underside front goat hood from rust was done so~so. The hood closes nice and lines up very nice. The Endura bumper/grills/fenders are nice also and the trunk lid is good and the owner purchased a fiberglass front valance that was only available at the time. The car shows very well in the pictures at a short distance! But once up close you can see the areas mentioned! like I said driver/local car runner! The floors seem pretty solid but I was told they had some work done to them with a patch or two. The quater panels also were replaced with one outter well repaired. The interior Bucket seat floor console auto shift needs some help! Dash pad has cracks. It still has the Custom S front door panels that were poorly dyed and there was a mouse or two that lived in it while sitting idle outside from time to time. I have been doing a little work on cleaning this Poncho up and taking care of what it needs for some needed items. The drivetrain on the car runs very well and sound nice and mean with it's newer straight dual exhaust with stock manifolds! No headers. The Pontiac motor is a 1967 XV 400ci/300+Hp with 061 date matched heads with a Factory iron cast 4 barrel intake with a Edlebrock carb and factory original air cleaner. It is backed by a 1972 Pontiac Turbo 400 tranny with a code of #PT with a 10 bolt Posi rearend. I will post #'s when I find out exactly what gear ratio and what year tranny and rear are. The owner told me that both are out of a 1970 Gto but will have to confirm before final sale?? The Pontiac has a Tilt wheel and a added in bucket seats and floor console shift. Also it has Factory disc brakes which also has work done to them. It has 15" Rally II rims with roadworthy tires. Yes!! This car is a nice turn key driver that still needs TLC work or restore again back to being mint once again. No! it is not Mint by no means now! I did a little research on how many 1969 Tempest Custom S Convertibles rolled off the assembly line: 2,379 were made Convertible. I will get a PHS on the car to see exactly what this car came with. The factory trim tag tells me this car was an original Warwick Blue car with a Blue interior. I will also post the tag info up at a later time. I have a Connecticut Bill of Sale with the last previous registered owners paperwork which our State only requires to be a legal sale. If your State requires a Title for a car this old you acn get one through a Title search company. Our State does not issue Titles for cars this old! Good luck and please recheck auction as I update needed info.
