1989 vw vanagon carat Wolfsburg edition. Van is in great condition never in an accident. Few minor nicks/ scrapes. Has special edition bluestar grey striped cloth interior, 4sp transmission. Runs decent but has exhaust leak. I wanted this van for so long but alas my dream has to end. Van is currently in Ventura, CA. The mileage on the van is roughly 219k. I am sure that at this high number of miles the engine has had some work done to it? I have had the van for about 12 months and bought it because it is a clean straight rust free CA van. I wanted to put a Porsche engine or Subaru in it and make it a hot rod/super van. Well, work or lack of has changed that plan for the moment. It runs decent but has a crack in the right rear exhaust pipe. It appears as this was repaired before I bought it and has now fatigued again. In my research since this happened I have found that this is common. A replacement pipe is about $60 plus the labor to install. It passed smog before this happened and yes the AC does work. Driver window regulator needs to be replaced.
