This particular bus is a 1973 Vintage Volkswagen Bay Window Westfalia Pop Top Camper with auto transmission!!! in FULLY RESTORED condition. The bus was fully restored in Washington DC with exhaustive mechanical repairs done by a VW air cooled bus specialist and complete new interior as described below: Mechanics: - New double carburetor - New fuel lines - New fuel filters (2) - New fuel pump - New muffler - New ignition coil - New oil compression cap - New points - New accelerator cable - New gaskets - New engine compartment seal Interior - New upholstery on all back seats incl. stool and spare tire cover. Front seats in excellent conditions (we think it is the original material) - New curtains on all windows (incl. 2 for the front) - New carpet - New Pop Top canvas The bus comes with - Foldable rear seats, making it a bed for 2 adult persons - One person bed in the pop-top (child) - Ice box and sink with working manual water pump - A 110 volt electrical hookup with corresponding 110 volt dual plug outlet inside - Original spare tire jack - Original stool - A nice side tent you can attach to the bus to get an extra “room” - 1700 VW engine (strong) - DC state inspection was passed in July 2010 The bus runs great as we drove it from Washington DC to Albuquerque, NM. All lights and signals are working fine, the body is in very good condition and it has minor rust around the front window seal which seems to be quite usual with these buses. We also very much appreciated the smooth driving provided by the auto transmission system.
