Up for auction is a 1965 Pontiac GTO with PHS documentation. This car originally came with a 4-barrel 389, 4-speed transmission, and a positraction rear end. It now has a 1970 Gran Prix 400 (XH) engine w/#16 heads and a 4-barrel that runs strong. Transmission is currently a TH 400 automatic. I have listed this car with 116,285 miles because it shows 16,285 on the odometer. The car is Mayfair Maize in color, black interior, and has factory tinted glass. This is and has always been a California car, although it does have some rust typical for the age of the car. The trunk pan has rust through from water sitting in it and will require replacement. All of the sheetmetal on this car appears to be original with good panel fit (good gaps and doors open and close good). Included in the auction are stock rear springs and a floor shift steering column (see pics). The brakes on this car have been completely gone through front to rear including having the master cylinder replaced. The carburetor has been rebuilt and the alternator replaced. Has factory power steering. I have included pics of the PHS docs so you can see that this is an excellent car for a restoration. I am listing this car for a friend.
