Up for auction is my 1996 Honda Accord 4 Door EX. I purchased this car recently from one of my employees who needed some quick funds. I have put new tires on the car, had the car re-tinted because you couldn't see through the windows very well. I had the car serviced and checked out to make sure it was in safe driving condition. All fluids are good, AC works great down here in the desert. The paint hasn't fared as well here in the desert - if you are worried about cosmetics then you will probably want to have the car painted. I checked with the local Maaco and they said it would cost $400 to have the car repainted (Maaco does have a 10% coupon on their website which would make the paint job $360). Engine appears to be in great shape - I'm not an expert, but I feel confident that this car would take me anywhere I wanted to go. Starts right up and runs great. It does have a custom exhaust which makes a deep bassy sound, I check here on ebay and they have Bomz exhaust silencers for sale for approx $10. You could add these or prob sell them and make some money if you were concerned about the sound. Problems that I am aware of. - Salvage title: I do believe the car was stolen many years ago also, I don't know the details behind this incident. Car has been running great for years since the title issue. - Auto lock mechanism isn't working on passenger side rear door, you have to manually lock or unlock it. - Part of manual lock/unlock piece on passenger door has been partially broken, still locks and unlocks as it should automatically. - Drivers side sunshade won't stay completely closed on roof, almost but not completely, I've been tempted to just throw some Velcro there which would be a cheap fix. - The cheap stereo display has gone out, you can still listen to the stereo but you can't navigate stations/cd on screen, you will probably want to replace it. - There are a couple of places on the door interior where the sun has started to crack it. Very minor and doesn't affect the operation of the car. - Accidents: I know car was hit in a Del Taco parking lot by a truck while it was parked, it was professionally repaired and paid for by the insurance company. This is why the front end and paint look new on the front portion of the vehicle. This car is a 96' and doesn't look or drive like its brand new. I do believe the core engine to be in great operating condition. I would imagine this car would go a good 200k miles before needing anything major. Interior condition is good, carpets and seats look good - Non- Smoking vehicle. Please let me know if you have any questions.
