THANKS<- -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ItaQoLKLiw-- MECHANICAL---- 1978 VW Camper, 5 new tires, 6,000 miles on rebuilt engine in 1999, runs great, shifts smooth, has great power. Speedo shows over 58,000 miles. Not sure if it is original or not. It could be, the last people who owned were a elderly couple and it just sat in their place for years. He said he had the engine rebuilt at Carls vw, or import in Bountiful Ut. in 1999. And he estimates there is 6,000 on the rebuild. I think he said they owned the bus for about 19 years.. There are some things that need replaced. The starter works fine when cold, although when the motor warms up the starter does not work. So it will need replaced or maybe a heat shield wrap around it. The front beam has rust on it, which is common for this year, and should be replaced. The brakes work fine although you can feel a little pulsating and a little pull to the left when applied. The rotors should be turned in the front. The bus does drive fine just how it is although those things need attention. It has two batteries, all off the lights and electrical/dash components work, T-signals, headlights, high beams, wipers, horn, speedo gauge, brake lights, back up lights, side running lights. The windshield washer fluid did not spray, although I have not checked the fluid. Also the B light on the dash comes on. The suspension and handling actually feels real good and it is comfy to drive. Like I said it has great power, cruising on the freeway, shifts fine, no popping out off gear etc... ..BODY------- Body is in good shape. No dents, just mostly dings, scratches, some rust etc... The previous owner painted the Beige on it because Grandma did not like Green. It is not the best paint job, although does not show to bad. The body is not beat to sh!t or dented up. There is some repair they have done to both off the rear wheel wells. There must have been some rust there. The pop top itself is solid with no cracks or damage. The windshield has a crack, the doors are sound and shut tight and are not loose etc... I do not have keys to the doors..INTERIOR----- Interior is in good shape. The dash looks great, floor mat is in nice shape, no rips. The drivers seat is good, passenger has some rips and a piece to cover up damage. The back seat is mostly all good with the exception off some tape on the top off the seats. All the storage areas look pretty good and the doors work. The ceiling looks great and two off the interior lights are working. The pop top material is in good shape and actually I do not think there are any rips, and the zipper works on all three pieces. The screen is not on there anymore. I was told the fridge works fine when plugged in, and the sink needs a new electric pump. I have not tried the fridge myself although I will try it out this week. - OVERALL--- It is a 78 camper, 5 new tires, clear title, camper edition, rebuilt engine, drives great, lots of power shifts smooth, working stereo, nice pop top, working electrical, fridge, and looks decent. Front beam should be replaced at sometime and you can get one used for about $250.00 and the front Rotors should be turned. -TERMS/SHIPPING/ETC... Payment must be made within 3 days by paypal, or bank wire, prefer bank wire, so there are no paypal fees. If you would like to pay another way you must ask before bidding. Trailer must be picked up within 2 weeks after auction ends, unless discussed prior to bidding. I can get a rate for west coast shipping if you are interested.. Check with transport companies, or go on to www.uship.com you can get great rates on there. If you live far away you most likely have items shipped right to your door for cheaper than you could come and pick it up. After travel time, time off work, gas money both ways etc.. it is cheaper just to have someone pick it up from me and bring it right to you with no worries. Also check my excellent feedback. I have sold on ebay since 99 I sell a lot off motorcycles, vintage RV etc.. and everybody is always happy! I am in now way a mechanic, although I have bought and sold since I was 18 and I know what is good and what is bad.
