Vehicle Detail

2000 BMW R1100 RTNO RESERVE so serious bidders onlyBike is located in Orange County California this walkaround video was shot today (10/29) The engine on this bike is strong and has many miles left on it. There are a few nicks/scratches on the plastics and the saddlebags but nothing too major. I bought this bike intending to fix the little things that were wrong with it, which isn't much (torn seat ~$60 to reupholster, broken tab on black plastic piece, missing bar end because BMW mechanic didn't tighten it all the way and it fell off when riding on the freeway) But once I started riding the motorcycle those little things didn't bother me anymore. I did fix some things that needed to be addressed in order to make it safe, headlight bulb was out so I replaced with a brighter HID headlight bulb (the high beam is normal halogen so usually during the day I run the High beam and at night for greater visibility without blinding other motorists I use the HID low beam). The speedometer and Tachometer back lights were out and you couldn't tell how fast you were going at night so I replaced those as well. I noticed some of the info lights (low fuel, oil) lights might be out. but I'm not 100% sure if they are out or just never have needed to turn on. The other info lights work (turn signals, high beam, battery) because I've seen them come on. The saddle bags work properly but don't lock with a key. Whenever staying overnight on the road I would just take them off and into the hotel room with me. The windshield moves up and down to adjust air flow to the rider. The heated grips have low/high settings and work good. I took this bike on a few longer road trips, ~1500 miles each time, and not one hiccup, ever. It always started right up and I was riding through 20 - 117 degree weather. As I said before, I bought with the intent of fixing it up to mint condition but after a few rides, the bike performed so well and was so comfortable for longer trips (compared to my Yamaha R1) that I got used to the minor defects. I just had the brakes replaced and bought tires so the tires are practically brand new. When I was waiting for the brakes and tires to be done I sat on a new RT and fell in love. So I gotta sell this one before I can get the new one =). This is a great motorcycle, despite its minor flaws, and I'm sure the new owner will be pleased. ... I included pictures of the torn seat, broken black plastic tab, and scratches. All of which is from the previous owner. Seems as though he dropped it once on the right side (scratches in pictures) No Reserve. Title in hand. $500 non-refundable deposit due within 48 hours of auction end. remaining balance due 7 days after auction end. Bike will not be shipped/picked up until all funds have cleared the banks. Serious Bidders only Negative feedback will be left and reported.
