NO RESERVE!!!! RARE COLLECTIBLE 4x4 VAN - This is a 1979 GMC Vandura 1 ton van that was converted to 4x4 in 1979 by Vehicle Manufacturing and Engineering Company in Fort Wayne, Indiana. From what I have been told, and what I have been able to find online is that there were about 1,000 of these vehilces produced in the GM Chassis and 250 produced in the Ford Chassis. This Van is equipped with a Dana Vee Torque Driveline (or Y Drive), there is 1 driveshaft that goes the rear differential, and in the front there is a driveshaft that goes to each front wheel to a differential on each from wheel ( Y ) that will give you the idea of why some call it a Y Drive. Sounds odd, and it is. These drivetrains are unbelivable in Snow and Mud, they are noisy at high speeds, but built very heavy. I have read that the noise is why they were never put into full production. I don't have 100% verification of this information, it all from Websites online that i have read. This Van is a 1979 GMC Vandura, 350 V8, Automatic, Rear Heat, Good Tires, AC, Windshield has a crack, only Only 56,683 Miles. Bucket Seats in the Front in great shape, Interior is very nice shape. Bench in the Back. Sun Roof in the Back of Van. Runs great and road worthy, I have driven this vehicle on Hunting Trips around Minnesota and North Dakota in the past 3 years and it has never left me stranded. I feel this vehicle is road worthy and I would drive it anywhere. It is overall in good shape, with very little rust for its age, it is all original and is a great hunting and ice fishing vehicle. I have owned this van for 3 years and am the 2nd owner of the vehicle. Original Owner bought it New and used if for Duck Hunting and that is it, he stored his decoys in the back and pulled a small duck boat behind. It was stored indoors up until 2007. There is some light surface rust along bottom of vehicle from stone chips etc, but overall for 1979 it is very solid. a few dings and dents, but nothing that affects the vehicle from being driven.
