Vehicle Detail

Hi, Thank you for viewing my 122S ! I have had several Volvo 1800's including my current 1965--- but this is my first 122. If I had to pick one word to describe the 122 series based on my experience with this one it is---QUALITY ! Considering this example is 46 years old---it amazes me how well built these are. One trip over the railroad tracks --say verses my 1976 Mustang--its night and day.......no rattles or the feeling its about to fall apart---as my Mustang feels in comparison. The doors thunk, so does the trunk lid. I realize buying a car off eBay is a leap of faith. I ask that you review my 13 years worth of feedback and call me if any questions are unanswered in my upcoming description. My ph # is 1-321-631-5599 EST before 10PM. I will start with the paperwork first---as it is a rarity for an old car to have what this one has....... For openers, I have the original bill of sale, Registration slip, and filled out warranty book. The car was sold new in San Luis Obispo , California in September of 1964. It eventually made its way to Texas--and the second owner had the car from about 1970- to 2009. The car was given to his son---who sold it to me. Among the receipts are repairs made from 1973 to present . The car was obviously well loved all its life. The original color is Slate Blue== 67-1.... and that is the color it is today. I apologize for my poor pictures.... it looks better in person. The car must have been refreshed with in the last few years....and it shows only one very minor bubble on the extreme lower front passenger side fender. Otherwise this is a clean car. It starts the first time--and drives effortlessly. The gauges all work, so do the lights. There is a receipt for $ 750.oo for the aftermarket Kenwood CD / ipod stereo set which looks and sounds wonderful. The seats-and door panels are just beautiful---and set the car off well. The carpet is fresh. Despite the fact the car is titled as a 1965--- it has all the 1964 trademarks---especially the wheels and hubcaps. Most 65 122's== like the 1800's== have the slotted wheels and dog dish V hubcaps. Speaking of the hubcaps---they have been painted satin Black---and this car begs for some minilites or correct caps---I have not found a set yet. Someone will probably want to know if it can drive home........ I would trust this car anywhere --- but as we all know with old cars--- stuff can happen and there are no guarantees. A couple nit picking problems. The drivers side window chain is broken. I found another --it is not installed. The drivers seat release cable is not tight enough to release the the other side latch--- you have to release manually. Once set for your height--- its no big deal. Overseas bids are welcome. Wire transfer is payment method. I will not accept any bids from bidders with no feedback history. Thank you in advance ! Jeff
