Up for auction is our 2000 Ford F550 ,4x4 automatic which runs well and shifts properly , we purchased the truck with the intention of using it to pull an hydraulic boat trailer however we never landed up buying the trailer and the truck has been standing unused so we decided to sell it . The body of the truck is in good condition with no signs of rust , it is a work truck so I would say it is not in showroom condition but in my opinion it is in good condition above average for its age , the miles are really low for a 7.3 diesel 151 K and I am sure it should do double that , this is the F550 so it has a 17500 pound capacity which makes it an excellent work horse with tow package fitted , The truck tracks perfectly straight brakes are great , we just had the front end redone with new bushes control arms + alignment . All the lights work , The only issues I am aware of are, the horn can be temperamental sometimes it will work and other times is will not , the locks for the reading boxes could use replacement however Reading does have like a masterbolt lock arm which works from the rear and locks all the boxes and that works great . The utility bed is made by Reading and has all the boxes for storage of your tools , I had considered removing the utility bed and buying a regular dually bed and having a fun truck but then I decided it would be more practical just to sell it outright . The tyres are all in good condition 60% tread on the rear and 80% up front . The truck is also fitted with factory running boards I would be comfortable driving this truck anywhere in the US without any problems . There was some light surface rust on the utility bed that we had cleaned up but no rust holes anywhere that i am aware of . Please feel free to e-mail or call with any questions .
