Vehicle Detail
We had been intending to have this GMC repaired for ourselves but have not had the time or the $. It starts, runs and drives perfectly. The damage is in the front end. It needs new front end sheet metal, inner metal, and other front end components (headlights, radiator support) and either a little pull time on the lt rail, or a new rail. GMC is the premier truck line. They really know how to make a truck that can look great and last. We have another one in the family that is 5 years older and has almost 200k and still runs like new..that is whty we wanted this one. However, we have been unable to start this project and have deicded to let it go and use the proceeds to buy a less expensive sport utility. None of the airbags went off so the entire air bag system is intact.Using used parts available at the salvage yard, or aftermarket parts, this is a nice project and in the end will get you a vehicle for thousands less than you would pay for this year, make and model. Many of the parts that were taken off of it are in the back of it, sonme may be repairable, others not. While this car is very sound aside for the collision damage, it is a vehicle that has been in an accident and needs to be repaired. It cannot be driven on the road as is. It has a clear title so will not require any state salvage inspections, as this is not a salvage vehicle. The damage on this vehicle was not extensive enough to deem it a salvage vehicle. We have driven this vehicle around our property several times and it always starts up and drives perfectly. It has only 69k miles on it. We set the reserve on the low end of what we feel is reasonable, so bid away and you may get a deal for yourself. This Grand Cherokee has front end damage. Most of the damage is on the left hand (drivers side). The left hand br is bent from the strut tower forward. The left inner structure, and core support are damaged as well. We have slightly pulled the left rail to allow the cooling to be installed and function. The cooling is functional, but there is a small crack in the engine cooling fan housing. The steering wheel and dash air bag have been deployed. There may be some other damages to this Grand Cherokee that are not described, but this is a wrecked vehicle, and we encourage all interested parties, to come down and inspect this for yourself.
