Overall Condition 1991 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 convertible. 5 speed manual, just under 93,000 original miles. I bought the car last May from a classic car dealer in the Los Angeles area. It runs great and has had quite a bit of recent maintenance and upgrades. The paint looks mostly shiny with some fading on the drivers door and peeling of the clear coat on the special edition spoiler. Prior to my purchase, the car had a Paxton supercharger and retains the engine mounting bracket and interior boost gauge. I do not have any Paxton parts. The car drives nice and straight on the freeway and feels solid. It also has a Saleen strut brace. No rust issues, very clean underneath and never undercoated. This Mustang was bought new at Galpin Ford in Los Angeles. The engine was recently tuned up and runs good. It shifts smoothly once the engine and transmission is warmed up. All the power accessories work fine including top, windows, locks and mirrors. Additionally the A/C blows ice cold. Recent Maintenance in last 3000 miles Monroe sensa track shocks at all four corners. Magnaflow muffers installed last month. Tuneup including fuel filter, new Ford racing wires, cap and rotor and plugs. Viper alarm and keyless entry. New Alpine system including CD player, speakers, amp and small sub in trunk. Top appears to be very recent. Waterpump was replaced this spring by the dealer where I bought the car. Recent battery. Known Issues with the Mustang Tires have some dry rot and could use replacement in the next 5000 miles. Very slight shimmy at certain speeds probably from tie rod ends. Drivers top latch hook bolt is slightly bent and could use a replacement ( I've seen repro latches for $100.) Paint is faded on drivers door as compared to rest of car. Rear spoiler clear coat is peeling. Interior of attachment of top to bow is missing some screws/clips. Oil and volt gauges read a little slow but do work consistently. Finish is peeling on the back interior panel underneath where the top boot goes. ( Boot is included. ) Summary This is a nice black 1991 Mustang 5.0 LX 5 speed convertible with factory leather interior. It has low miles, nice options and the underneath is clean and has never been undercoated. I have too many vehicles and have decided to sell it. If you are looking for a decent Mustang 5.0 to own and drive, I think you'll like this one. I went through the old receipts and can list the following: Drivers side window motor replaced at mileage 89960, cost $290. Both rear window motors replaced, Jan-19-09, cost $435. Motorcraft alternator, Mar-12-09, cost $308. Clutch, flywheel and oil temp sensor, Dec-18-07, cost $1271 Fuel pump, engine mounts and radiator, Mar-20-07, cost $1572. Additionally today, I just changed the oil with 5 quarts of Pennzoil Ultra synthetic 5W30 and a Mobil-1 oil filter.
