Up for auction is my 1969 911E Targa. I have owned this Porsche for the past year and a half but it requires a bit more expertise than I have at this time. I believe this car to be an all original 911 - originally Bahama Yellow now Guards Red. The gauges are those of a Euro model but the car has been in Arizona since at least 1973 and last registered in 1982. Prior to my purchasing this car it sat undisturbed in Tucson, AZ for around 25 years. There is some dry rot visible on the steering wheel wrap and the tires. The dash is also cracked and the door arm rests are heat warped, but in fair condition. The gas tank has been restored and all fuel lines replaced or blown clean, but this is a fuel injected engine and the MFI pump will need to be cleaned and possibly rebuilt. The car does not run but the engine does start up briefly with gas or starting fluid sprayed into the intake stacks. However, this car has been sitting for over two decades so there may be any number of mechanical issues as yet undiscovered. I have not done a compression test. The body is in good shape and is straight with no major rust, good floors, rubber is in good shape for an AZ car, and glass is all original. This is a two battery system and unfortunately the car sat for some time with the batteries in it and they corroded the front pan and gas tank support - this will need to be replaced - the drivers side front torsion bar has began to "push" through the pan.
