After looking for months for a low mileage diesel, extended cab, long bed pickup, I bought this truck from the original owner about 10 months ago and it had 74K miles on it. I wanted the older Cummins diesel. He had every receipt, from every oil change on up; I still have those receipts as well as my own, owners manual and original window sticker . Heavy duty, monster rear bumper, I suppose it's a class III but he or I never towed with it. It does have the tow package though with the big electrical plug. Of course power brakes, windows, steering, tilt wheel, heated mirrors, auto day/night mirror, AC. K&N washable air filter. Brakes were done, rhino lined bed, some front end parts that are prone to wear-track bar, tie rods and steering damper, two new batteries in 08 etc, etc. He treated it amazingly well. Interior is mint, no rips, tears burn, nothing. He had installed heavy duty Husky tray/floor mats so the carpet is perfect. Shades for the windshield and a windshield bug-deflector that does not show on the pics. (have not gotten it on yet!) Zero rust. The box looks like he never even used it to haul anything, tail gate is dent free, never used for 5th wheel or towing. As an over the road sales guy, I put almost 20,000 perfectly trouble free miles on it getting a worst of 17.5 mpg and a best of 20.5 mpg., usually getting between 18.5 and 19 mpg. I added the running boards and the topper/cap. It's a top-of-the line, Leer cap, carpet lined, extra tall, both side windows are able to be opened with slide windows for ventilation. ($2,200 topper) Shades for the windshield and a windshield bug-deflector that does not show on the pics. (have not gotten it on yet!) I also added an alarm with a remote and remote starter. (very nice for letting the diesel run a few minutes before starting out if it's cool outside. I decided to use Amsoil synthetic in the crankcase and had the the transmission fluid changed to Amsoil. Not cheap but I wanted this truck to go to 300,000 miles. My travel needs for over the road sales have changed though and I simply no longer require this fantastic truck. This was a $36,000 truck in 2000 w/the SLT package, trip meter, mileage, temperature etc. Full disclosure, whats not perfect: Windshield has a small crack and 'star', very low on the passenger side, does not affect driver vision at all. Rear bumper finish just does not look that great, if I kept it, I was going to have it sand blasted and rhino lined like the bed. Very small dent in the front bumper, very minimal. One of the wheel covers that cover the bolts is scratched. Great story on that and I did not want to replace because of the story.
