This 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited has seen me through some of the best times of my life. I almost hate to get rid of her but she needs more repair than I am willing to put into her. I think if someone already has a Jeep that needs parts or has parts for this Jeep, you could make one really nice vehicle. The motor still runs strong. It is a 4.0 L inline 6 motor. Has some lifter sounds but has been getting me back and forth to work and beyond until a week ago when I noticed that the transfer case was making sounds like it is ready to blow. I replaced the transfer case once already about 7 years ago and its going out now again, at least that is what it sounds like. It has not blown yet and so can still drive. I just would not take it very far as bad as the transfer case sounds. The tires need replaced, especially the front. It probably needs new rear brakes, the front were replaced less than a month ago. the radiator has a crack in it but I am including a replacement radiator which I bought off ebay from alljeepparts.com. The ignition switch does not work so a push button was installed to remedy that. The Jeep starts right up with no problems. The hatch does not latch. The hood does not latch tight. She leaks, does not burn, a little oil. Uses maybe a quart of oil a month. The emergency brake does not work. It only drives using the front wheels so essentially it has been a front wheel drive vehicle because some know-it-all tow truck driver did not release the gears and towed it in gear. A big no-no with these vehicles. But she runs and the motor has been very reliable. The interior, gray leather, is in good shape with the exception of a tear in the back seat. It has a CD player which works well, and which came from a 95 Grand Cherokee so it fits perfectly. The heat works great, but the ac does not work because the ac unit on the motor locked up. The belt has been routed around the unit. I have only used high octane gas in it as long as I have had it. I have always given it tune ups as recommended. The oil likes to change itself. It has a new power steering hose in it as the old one started to leak. It was replaced about 2 months ago. There is some rust, especially on the passenger side quarter panel, but I am including a replacement quarter panel with it. As you can see, I really loved my Jeep a lot and had every intention of keeping her going, but a second round of transfer case problems has turned me away. Just not up to that again. Maybe someone out there can use this Jeep and put her to continued good use. There is a small dent in the rear passengers side hatch, and some damage around the passenger side rear wheel well. About a year ago, the headlight casings were replaced as well as the drivers side rear light casing. The front bumper is missing and there is damage to the bumper frame on the drivers side. The white paint has been peeling off for some reason. I see a lot of white vehicles do that. there is some rust on the roof but absolutely no leaks. The windows all operate fine. the antenna is broken but the radio still picks up stations. The back seat does not drop flat on the drivers side. Not sure why. Its just stuck in the up position, and won't drop. I hate to send this vehicle to the junk yard. She still has a lot of life, or at least lots of parts that could make another jeep very happy.
