WE DO NOT ACCEPT TRADES. This one-owner 2008 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor was purchased in 2008 and used as a fully marked police car. It was assigned to be used by our Patrol Unit, and has 54978 miles. The engine hours on the vehicle are 2210. THIS VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT AND HAS FRONT END DAMAGE. The vehicle is drivable but will have to be towed from seller’s location because of the front end damage. The major damage appears to be isolated to the front bumper/grill/headlight area. The front fenders have slight damage. No fluids leak and no apparent frame damage. The battery is dead and will need to be replaced. While in service the vehicle was subject to a strict maintenance program, which includes oil changes every 5000 miles and compliance with all manufacturer maintenance at suggested intervals. The new owner can be provided with the vehicle's service and maintenance history. The vehicle up for auction has not been inspected. All police equipment has been removed. All external mounting holes were plugged with rubber plugs and all electronic components were returned to their original configuration. The vehicle still has an ignition over-ride switch, which allows the vehicle's key to be removed from the ignition while the engine is left running. All police markings were professionally removed. The Ford emblem on the rear trunk lid was removed when the vehicle was striped leaving two small holes in the trunk lid. No spare tire is included with this vehicle. The interior is in good condition. The interior pillar post moldings had to be modified to allow the installation of the back seat barrier. When the barrier was removed, two holes were created in the pillar moldings. Some police electronic equipment was removed from the dashboard, which left a small hole in the dash. The back cloth seat has never been used. After we purchased the vehicle, we removed the back seat and installed a hard plastic seat. When we decided to sell the vehicle we took put the original seat back in. The seat was stored in our garage until it was put back into the vehicle. The bench portion of the rear seat is not bolted down. The front seats are in good condition. There is rubber flooring instead of carpeting inside the vehicle. Since this was a police squad, the back doors can not be opened from the inside. The lock rods are included to fix the rear doors. The buyer must take the vehicle to Ford to correct this problem. The engine hours on the vehicle are 2210. THIS VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT AND HAS FRONT END DAMAGE. The vehicle is drivable but will have to be towed from seller’s location because of the front end damage. The major damage appears to be isolated to the front bumper/grill/headlight area. The front fenders have slight damage. No fluids leak and no apparent frame damage. The battery is dead and will need to be replaced. While in service the vehicle was subject to a strict maintenance program, which includes oil changes every 5000 miles and compliance with all manufacturer maintenance at suggested intervals. The new owner can be provided with the vehicle's service and maintenance history. The vehicle up for auction has not been inspected. All police equipment has been removed. All external mounting holes were plugged with rubber plugs and all electronic components were returned to their original configuration. The vehicle still has an ignition over-ride switch, which allows the vehicle's key to be removed from the ignition while the engine is left running. All police markings were professionally removed. The Ford emblem on the rear trunk lid was removed when the vehicle was striped leaving two small holes in the trunk lid. No spare tire is included with this vehicle. The interior is in good condition. The interior pillar post moldings had to be modified to allow the installation of the back seat barrier. When the barrier was removed, two holes were created in the pillar moldings. Some police electronic equipment was removed from the dashboard, which left a small hole in the dash. The back cloth seat has never been used. After we purchased the vehicle, we removed the back seat and installed a hard plastic seat. When we decided to sell the vehicle we took put the original seat back in. The seat was stored in our garage until it was put back into the vehicle. The bench portion of the rear seat is not bolted down. The front seats are in good condition. There is rubber flooring instead of carpeting inside the vehicle. Since this was a police squad, the back doors can not be opened from the inside. The lock rods are included to fix the rear doors. The buyer must take the vehicle to Ford to correct this problem. We have attempted to photograph all of the damage and encourage you to stop by to view the vehicle. This vehicle is sold "as-is" and there is no warranty.

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions. By submitting a bid, the bidder agrees that they have read, fully understand and accept these Terms and Conditions of Online Sales, and agree to pay for and remove the property, if the bid is accepted by the dates and times specified.

Disclaimer and Indemnification.

THE VILLAGE OF BARTLETT, COOK, DUPAGE, AND KANE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS (the “Seller”) HEREBY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE regarding the personal property being sold by the Village to Buyer (the Personal Property). Seller neither assumes nor authorizes any person to assume for it any liability in connection with the sale, offer for sale, and/or conveyance of the Personal Property. In no event shall Seller be liable to Buyer or anyone else for any loss of profit, direct, indirect, incidental, collateral, and/or exemplary damages and/or any liability of any kind relative to the sale, offer for sale, and/or conveyance of the Personal Property.

Buyer agrees to purchase the Personal Property, in AS IS, “WHERE IS” condition with all faults. Buyer understands that Seller does not expressly or implicitly warrant that the Personal Property meets or complies with any applicable safety and/or regulatory standards (examples: ASTM, ANSI, OSHA). Buyer is solely responsible for determining that the Personal Property is appropriate for any and all particular uses.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Buyer shall indemnify, hold harmless and defend the Village of Bartlett, its officials, officers, employees, and volunteers from any and all claims, liabilities, actions, and/or causes of action resulting from injuries, death, damages and/or losses arising out of, connected with, or in any other way associated with the sale, offer for sale, and/or use of the Personal Property.

Personal and property risk.Persons attending during exhibition, sale or removal of goods assume all risks of damage of or loss to person and property and specifically release the Seller, and GovDeals from liability therefore.

Inspection.Most items offered for sale are used and may contain defects not immediately detectable. Bidders may inspect the property prior to bidding. Consideration of Bid.Village of Bartlett reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to withdraw from sale any of the Personal Property listed.

Buyer’s Certificate.Successful bidders will receive a Buyer’s Certificate by email from GovDeals.

Payment.Payment in full is due not later than five (5) business days from the time and date of the Buyer’s Certificate. Acceptable forms of payment are:

•Cash (U.S. currency)
•Certified Check (Non-cancelable, with Letter of Certified Funds from bank)
•Money Order
•Cashiers Check

Checks shall be made payable to Village of Bartlett. Payments shall be made at the location listed in the Buyer’s Certificate.

Removal.All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate. Purchases will be released only upon receipt of payment as specified above. Successful bidders are responsible for loading and removal of any and all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located as indicated on the website and in the Buyer’s Certificate. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Under no circumstances will the Village of Bartlett assume responsibility for packing, loading or shipping. Vehicles of Titles.Seller will issue a title or certificate upon receipt of payment. Titles may be subject to any restrictions as indicated in the item description on the website. Open titles cannot be issued. The Village of Bartlett will not issue replacement titles.

Default.Default by Buyer shall include (1) failure by Buyer to observe these terms and conditions; (2) failure to make good and timely payment; or (3) failure to remove all items within the specified time. If the Buyer fails in the performance of any obligation hereunder, as provided herein, Seller may terminate this Agreement and shall be entitled to all rights and remedies as are provided by law and/or equity, including attorney’s fees and court costs. Seller reserves the right to reclaim and resell all items not removed by Buyer upon the expiration of the specified removal date.

State/Local Sales and/or Use Tax.Buyers may be subject to payment of State and/or local sales and/or use tax. Buyers are responsible for contacting the appropriate tax office, completing any forms, and paying any taxes that may be imposed.

Fee and Tax Information:
Deposit of five hundred dollars must be paid within seven days of the close of the auction. The payment must be either cashier's check or money order paid to "The Village of Bartlett".
