**ATTENTION UNIQUE CAR COLLECTORS** **CADILLAC MUSCLE CAR ENTHUSIASTS** This is a Custom “HOT ROD” Cadillac 1970 Eldorado Coupe, with 5230 miles on 501 Horsepower 514 CID engine. This beautiful Classic was displayed indoors since 1978 in the Museum of Automobiles until i purchased & modified. This has been a major attention-getter at area car shows as well as everywhere this car is!.. This is by no means in perfect cleaned with a toothbrush condition, it does need some work, mostly aesthetical.. However the motor & drivetrain are very much problem free! I have owned this vehicle for several years now, however i may be moving & it cannot come with as there will be no space for it. This is a very powerful & fast car, being one of the lightest Cadillac’s of the early 70’s weighing in at 4600lbs. ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS: - Original 500 CID engine, bored .060 over to 514 CID & all work done by McBetts Racing Engines using Cadillac Motorsports parts, the only thing original about the engine is the block itself. - Fully ported & polished original 76cc cast iron heads. -Oversize valves - Stage II rocker assembly w/ titanium pushrods. - Demon 850 Carburetor w/ 1” spacer & inline fuel pressure gauge. - Custom chrome rimmed Hood modification - Forged Olds 455 Piston Rods to Forged Venolia 10.1 pistons w/ molly rings - Clevite main bearings -True roller timing chain, - 300S/S Babe Erson Cam spec’d for monster bottom-end torque - Edelbrock High-rise Aluminum Intake Manifold - Custom built one-of-a-kind Eldorado Headers w/ full copper gaskets - True 2 ½” dual exhaust to Turbo mufflers with chrome pipe tips. (Deep thunderous idle) - “Red” electric fuel pump. - Flamethrower high output HEI ignition. - High Output Oil Pump. - High performance Water pump. - Custom “one-of-a-kind” Cragar rims built exclusively for this car in 1973! - K&N Air filter with plate assembely. - New radiator & Transmission cooler. - Good brakes all around, & new calipers & lines. - Alternator replaced 2005. - New High Performance Flexfan - Hilborn Ram-Air Scoop & a Chrome Cadillac Emblem Carb cover interchangable. -DYNOMETER TESTED ENGINE with all documentation at 501 naturally aspirated Horsepower!! with an estimated 628+ ft lbs of torque (the engine overpowered the dyno dampener due to the high bottom end torque that this engine produces, the dampener did not “catch” until 3500rpm!), Engine is a steady 9.8 compression, so it runs fine on unleaded 93 Octane gas. (NOTE: In1970 Cadillac proclaimed that this engine bone stock producing 400hp & 550 ft lbs of torque, THIS IS A MYTH! The Cadillac Company, like others in the automotive industry, trumped up the numbers for sales purposes!, At best it produced 310 Horsepower & 430 ft lbs of torque when tested bone stock on a Dyno. When anyone claims to have anything over 400hp in their car, I always request to see the Dyno report!) TRANSMISSION: - TH425 FWD Racing Transmission built November 2003 by FB Racing Transmissions: - Custom low 2.70 planetary gear set - 2500 stall speed converter - Full Shift Kit (Nice hard neck snapping shifts) - Full Turbo400 Street/Strip package, all new racing valves - Custom Caspro low ratio chain drive system, overall final ratio 3.55 gearing. (Builds 35 more Horsepower at the wheels & 15% additional Torque) INTERIOR/BODY: - Tiger Paw GTS tires - Air Horns mounted in grill, push button actuator on dash (steering wheel horn inoperable) - Gauges mounted under dash lip: Fully-lit RPM-Water temp-Oil Pressure-Fuel-Volt - Speedometer illuminated by custom green neon backlighting. - Fully 2010 safety inspected -New custom axles built & rated to handle the Engine specs. - New power steering pump & belts - New front shocks -Doubled up leaf springs in the rear (rear end will NOT sag) - Very Rare Factory Electric Sunroof (stopped working in 2005) - Electric Locks & Windows all working including rears. - Black Leather seats, good shape, Drivers Seat small tear & wear. -White vinyl top in decent shape, a fe, maybe like 5 small tears. AUDIO SOUND SYSTEM: - Pioneer AM/FM CD player w/ Kenwood 3” fronts & American Bass 6x9 speakers. - 600 Watt Kenwood Amp dedicated to the Interior Speakers. - 800 Watt Kenwood Amp dedicated to the Subwoofer. - Rockford Fosgate 12" Punch Subwoofer in Trunk. - 10 Farad Capacitor linked to a Tsunami Fusing System for Stereo. - Full Viper Alarm System w/ valet switch - Waterprrof Marine Grade Speakers monted in grill, with a switch system to play music out of the grill as well. CONS & ISSUES TO BE AWARE OF: - As you can see by the pictures, the hood has a round hole cut in it by a body shop with chrome trim around the rim of the cut. - Some rust inside trunk seam, maybe need minor body work there. - Old stock flexfan broke & a blade hit inside the hood causing a dent that i had to bang back into place. -This car has a recurring starter problem, it may need to be shimmed, starter may grind from time to time. -The fuel tank is lightly leaking at the seam, it needs to be removed, emptied & braized. -White vinyl top in decent shape, a few very small tears. - On the dashboard, there is a crack. - Power seats have not worked since i owned car. - Sunroof worked last in 2005 & hasn't worked since. - Air conditioning & heating system removed to allow performance upgrades. - Paint has dings & imperfections, but nothing major, no accidents. There is no bondo, this body is solid!, this was a museum display car that had not been driven since 1978. - Needs cosmetic finishing touches in engine compartment. - I created a custom bracket system for the alternator since the air conditioning unit had been removed, the air conditioning bracket was what anchored the alternator. Since there is no longer AC in this car, i had to improvise a bracket system for the alternator which does work, however you may wish to have a different bracket installed later on that is a better aesthetical option. IN SUM: THIS IS A 1970 CADILLAC ELDORADO THAT HAS BEEN MODIFIED TO BE A MUSCLECAR, IT DOES HAVE SOME IMPERFECTIONS & NEEDS SOME WORK AS LISTED ABOVE. BEYOND THAT IT IS IN VERY GOOD RUNNING CONDITION, NO MECHANICAL ISSUES AS FAR AS THE MOTOR OR DRIVETRAIN - THESE WERE ALL A PROFESSIONAL BUILD & HAVE MANY YEARS OF LIFE TO GO IN THIS CAR. THIS IS BEING SOLD "AS-IS" NO WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS, EVERYTHING LISTED ABOVE IS WHAT I KNOW OF THE VEHICLE AS OF THIS DATE. WINNING BIDDER IS REPONSIBLE FOR PICKUP OF THIS VEHICLE WHICH IS LOCATED IN ISLIP TERRACE, NEW YORK 11752. PAYMENT BY PAYPAL ONLY PLEASE!. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!!
