Vehicle Detail

1980 Corvette / No Reserve This corvette was stored at one of the neighbors for many years. I was told it had 74k original miles but I never verified that information. The owner wanted to restore it and spent a lot of money but never got around to finishing it. They were moving and he finally said he would sell it to me. I was shocked at how good the car ran once I tuned it up. The motor and transmission were perfect. I have done some work to the car but I don’t have the space to keep it garaged and to finish it at this time. It would be a perfect candidate for a total restoration or you can just drive it the way it is and work on it a little at a time. *Brakes…I replaced all four calipers and had the system bled and checked and everything works perfectly… *Electrical..I installed two new power window motors and two new power window switches. *Mechanical..I tuned up the motor with all new filters, oil change, timing and wires and plugs. * I replaced the power steering pump and the high pressure power steering line. This corvette doesn’t need that much to be super nice. What you see in the pictures is really all that is left to work on. It needs a new horn button assembly but the horn does work on a separate button on the dash. It needs new vacuum actuators for the headlights ( they will stay up after you manually pull them up and they will go back down). It could use new gaskets around the T-Tops and doors. The seats need recovering. The passengers door handle needs replacing. The front end has some paint chipping off ( see pictures) and a small area 3 inches by 3 inches on the driver’s door. I had an estimate to match the paint and have the front end painted and to fix the door area for $275.00- $300.00 None of these are high dollar items and it won't take much to make the car look new again. Everything including the paint work would be we under $1000.00 and this corvette will look gorgeous and be ready to show or drive on the weekends. Bonus: The car currently has a 350 motor out of a 1987 Monte Carlo S.S. and it runs perfect. It also comes with the matching numbers original motor if the new owner wants it for a future total restoration or just needs another 350 motor. Transmission shifts very smooth. I am putting No Reserve on this auction and this beautiful corvette will go to the highest bidder. I wish I had the room to store it at this time but I do not and I will probably regret selling it later but I refuse to just let this beatiful car sit outside in the elements. Thank you for looking and to everyone who bids..
