Privately owned 1965 Chevelle SS convertible. This car has not been restored. It has 71,222 miles and can be driven. The engine is a 283 / 2 barrel with ther original power glide transmission. The motor, transmission and rear end are factory original stock and have not been altered in any way. The car starts instantly and runs smooth. The motor does have a valve click. The power steering is silky smooth. I have changed the front brakes to power disc purchased new from Modern Chevrolet. It will now stop quickly, in a straight and true line. I did box and keep the original front drum assemblies. I had an aluminumized dual exhaust installed with flow master mufflers. The carpet and sound deadner are new and was also purchased from Modern Chevrolet. The mag wheels and tires are 16 inch. Other than these things, the car is stock. The floor pans are solid. The trunk floor has rust and will need work. The rear quarters lower areas will need work as indicated in the pictures. I have removed the white convertible top canvas that is shown in earlier pictures to install a new one, but have not installed one yet. The tops are approximately $250 from Modern Chevrolet Muscle. The rubber top moldings rubber seals are original and will also need to be replaced. The previous owner kept this car for 35 years and only drove it a little in the summer months. It can be driven and just fixed up or is a perfect car to restore. The original color exterior is red with a white top. This is a true original SS car.
