Vehicle Detail
Right out of grandpa's garage, not a ho-hum cuda, not a superbird or charger, but the rarest of the rare. Anything that went through the abuse and use that a wagon did, then survived the crusher during the fuel crisis, then survived the lack of popularity (being a station wagon) and are still alive and well is a truly remarkable thing. This Los Angeles manufactured wagon is very alive and well, not sure how it survived but it did, with nearly no rust, amazingly perfect frame and floors, and everything operating as Dodge designed. 318 auto, numbers matching. Im sure the 93 k miles are original. Aside from the valve covers, intake, carb, batt and air cleaner, very original. Elec choke, starts right up, dual exhaust purrs like a kitten. Kick it down, idles perfect, uses no oil, and runs with amazing power and torque for a 318. This was a non a/c vehicle, but the heater works like a champ and all the controls for that and the underfloor vents work perfect. A miser on fuel but a vehicle that can tow like a champ with the HD tow package and...trailer brake controller. (for your airstream) All lighting and electrical, including the power rear window, work as new on the original uncobbled wiring. Rear window works with the key in the rear gate as well as the dash switch. As you know, the rear gate either swings open, or folds down like a tail gate. All other electric features from the wipers and washers to the dash dimming and all guages work perfect. The window seals and felts are all like new, no joke. All of the manual windows roll up and down easily with no noise. My 5 year old can operate all of them (and has). Glass is near perfect. All trim is there. The interior seat covers have obviously been changed out, but are very nice. I found a new headliner and I have not installed it yet but I have the bows and liner complete. The only thing this car needs to be seriously perfect, are the headliner installed, front shocks as the left front one has no damping ability, the rs license plate light bulb replaced, and a couple small paint bubbles fixed. The body is all metal, straight and dent free, with corrosion as pictured just starting in the ls rear far corner of the quarter. Extremely solid and bondo free. (find another one like this). The underside is factory undercoated and is extremely clean and solid. Probably the nicest original b body (is this a b body?) underbody I have ever seen. 8-3/4 rear axle btw. This is absolutely a car you could drive anywhere. I am listing this with no reserve, but a buy it now. Serious bidders only. No games. Clear title is in hand. Vehicle is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time.
