Vehicle Detail

Hi. I'm listing this car for a close friend. He bought the car in 1995 with 55k. He did all the restoration work himself from 95 thru 98, frame off on a rotisserie. He drove the car daily in the summer for a few years, then put it in the garage. Recently he decided to sell, so he dusted it off and has been driving it off and on this summer. As you can see, it's a 68 MGB with the 5 speed overdrive. 76,000 miles, 1.8L engine (21k since rebuild) with a new Webber instead of the very cool but hard to tune SU carbs. Disc front, drum rear with the nice wire knockoff wheels. There is a lof of stuff very right with this car, and a few things that are wrong. None of the wrong things are major, they are all small cosmetic things that if you address them brings this car up to high standards. Sorry to have to write such a long description but there's a ton of work that's been done to this car. The short version is the passenger front disc is gouged - you'll need a new disc and pad on that side but it drives and stops okay as it is. The other obvious thing is there is a crack in the driver's door that's been sanded down. Otherwise, the lights and signals work, the engine is flawless, and you can drive it home. The car can be picked up (or inspected if you are local) in Akron Ohio. I have many more pictures, and if you would like to see them email me directly at kipswork @ aol . com (remove the spaces). Here's what's right with the car in bullet point form, followed by what's wrong. * Complete engine rebuild * Complete front steering and suspension rebuild and new brake components * Complete rear end rebuild * This was a complete off frame restoration. * Car was primed with catalyzed type epoxy primer. Final painting is base coat/clear coat type, catalyzed. * New loud horn * New battery cables * Electronic ignition * New fender mirrors * New leather seats with new foam * New electric fuel pump * New master cylinder * New clutch cylinder * New oil cooler * New coil * New oil filter adapter for newer type oil filters * New top, New scissors top frame.
