1997 Pontiac Trans Am 5.7L LT1 automatic I've had this car for about a month. I bought it to fix up and drive but i really dont have the time to do anything to it. In the time i had it i drove it one time and maybe put 25miles on it total. I changed the optispark cap and rotor and the water pump gaskets and the spark plugs and i did half the wires i didnt get a chance to do the other half, the rest are sitting in the car. It runs really well the the collector gaskets are leaking slightly, usually there metal type gaskets so you could probably just tighten them. IT has SLP Headers and y pipe on it and a flowmaster cat back exhaust system. The check engine light is on im guessing it cause of the exhaust leak and its throwing the o2 sensors off but I dont know I dont have a scanner to check it. Also the airbag light and the low oil light stay on but the car has both the air bags there and the oil is full i think it just a short in the wire to the low oil light wire sensor. The car drives down he road pretty good the rotors seemed lightly warped cause when you stop the steering wheel shutter but only on a hard stop. Also the transmission shifts late but its does shift firm so i dont think its the trans i think it might be the TPS sensor cause that controls when it would shift according to how far the pedal is pressed i think. IT shifts fine if you hard on it but if your light on the pedal it will shift late sometimes. I think it has 3.42 gears in the rear and its definitely posi. The tires are in good shape and have a good amount of tread on them. The car is t top and has power windows and lock and mirror. The windows are both kinda slow they will probably need new window motors. The a/c also will probably need a charge I dont think theres any freon in it. The Person I bought the car from said the motor was a jasper Rebuilt engine but I dont know i dont have any paperwork on it. The car is kameleon Green and the pics show the body and it couple of imperfections. The interior is actually in pretty good shape but the dash has some cracks in it and the center console door has no button. The car is located in Levittown PA 19055 and is SOLD AS IS.
