1964 Falcon Sprint #'s Matching original 260 4-speed drivetrain - CA Black Plate - 34,700 Original Miles SURVIVOR #'s matching 260/4 speed CA Black plate car now located on East Coast. Purchased in Chico, California in 2006. Bought car from 3rd owner who knew the previous 2 owners stating car had original milage on it of 32,950 miles. This was milage on CA title when transfered (have copy). There's nothing with this car that tells me it this is not true. If you have a tell-tale method of confirming, please call me and we will check it out. I have nothing to hide with this beauty as there will be no disappointments. Story behind car it was owned by a California Hwy patrolman for its first 40 years. Car transfered between two other individuals over the next two years before I purchased it. If you're into falcons, this is a serious consideration. As stated, I purchased car in 2006 and shipped to my home on dry side of Maui where car stayed for about 3 years. In 2009 I relocated to East Coast and shipped car with me. This falcon has always been stored inside a garage with a cover. Drives nice and tight. Does not overheat. Starts right up. Can be driven anywhere. I've only put a little less than 2,000 miles on car in last 4 years. This car is completely original EXCEPT for the following: Exterior Paint, seat covers, wheels, dual exhaust, petronix ignition. Can easily be brought back to original status if desired. This Maui Sprint has ZERO rust. No evidence of any accidents, straight as an arrow. Interior I believe was recovered, seats are very comfortable and soft. The rest of the interior is original including door panels which need to be refreshed. A look at the underside shows the factory paint on the floorboards and inner quarters. Quarters are original as the visible factory riviting is present. Chrome is in excellent shape including chevrons with one of them showing mimimal pits. Drive train has no issues to speak of except manual choke cable gets stuck. Engine starts right up and purrs with an aggressive rumble from the dual exhausts run thru the stock manifolds. Runs cool in the summer, doesn't overheat. 4 speed tranny shifts nice. Not sure if any work was performed on the engine, but it does have some get up and go. Original carb and intake, air cleaner, valve covers, etc... Block is painted blue which leads me to believe some work was performed at one time (original color is black). I pulled the starter a couple years back to confirm block casting #'s which checked out, but forgot the exact dates. If you are serious about this car I can do it again to confirm them for you. Overall, this is an exceptional falcon and gets attention wherever it goes. As I said before, No Disappointments with this one. Car has only been on east coast a little over a year. Since I am unable to answer recent inquiries, I offer some more info on the car: Steering wheel is a different color because this is a Falcon "Sprint". Sprint models came from the factory with a simulated woodgrain steering wheel. Suspension is pretty tight. I do not know if it was ever rebuilt or not. From the looks of the dry rot on them, rear shackle spring isolators appear to be old (original?). After checking more closely, shocks don't look original. Wheel size is 14". 215/70 up front, and 235/60 in back. Tires do NOT rub quarters at all. Rims in beautiful shape, tires still sport "nubs". I do not know if tach works or not. Was unhooked when i purchased car. I assume because of the petronix ignition. Haven't figured out how to hook it up... Anntenea was broken off when I purchased. One picture shows a radio delete plate, however, car will come with the original radio and dash plastic unless winning bidder wants the delete plate instead. Your choice. Car has original heater still intalled even though one of the pictures shows a heater delete plate. Original heater controls have beautiful unpitted chrome. I have decided to re-install original radio and heater controls unless winning bidder prefers the delete plates.
