This is a totally solid west coast car that is a blast to drive. It is a very clean, unmolested car that has been very well kept over the years. This is number 2513 of only 4014 911's produced for US sales in 1974! This car has lived here in Arizona for the last 15 years or so, and previously lived its whole life in Southern California. This car was specially ordered with several rare options for a base 911 including special order code 406 Gazelle Gold paint, Factory A/C ($1125), Power Sunroof ($615), Fuchs Alloy Wheels ($605), and 5-Speed Transmission ($250). This 911 had a base price of $9950 but tack on over $2600 in options this car rolled out the door at $12,600...almost the cost of a top of the line Carrera! There is nothing cooler then a driving vintage Porsche! The following is a list of options as this 911 is currently equipped: -180hp 2.7L 911S SOHC Flat Six Cylinder Engine -Optional Type 915 Five Speed Manual Transmission -Original Fuchs 15" Aluminum Rims (Dated 10/73) -Yokohama S306 Performance Radial Tires -Factory Power Sunroof -Ice Cold Factory A/C -Leather Bucket Seats -5 Gauge Dash with Tachometer -Aftermarket Sony Sound System -Space Saver Spare -Etc..... The exterior of the car is finished in its gorgeous original color of Code 406 Gazelle Gold Metallic. The car appears to have had one re-spray in its life and was a nice job. Overall the paint is a nice driver quality job with some chips and small blemishes and still retains a beautiful luster. The body is totally solid and is as straight as an arrow, showing no evidence of body work or accidents. All door gaps appear to be factory original and correct. The underside is completely original and rust free as any west coast car should be including totally solid floor pans, rockers, fenders, tire well and battery tray. All the weather stripping on the car is soft and supple. The factory sunroof seals up nicely and operates open and closed with no problems! The car is riding on the original 15" Fuchs wheels all dated October of 1973. The wheels were just treated to a beautiful full polish as well as the lug nuts and caps. They are all in perfect condition with no repairs or curb rash to speak of. The tires are 15" Yokohama performance directional radials and have 75% tread remaining. The very nice black interior is all new and looks excellent. The seats, door panels, and carpet all look perfect and really set the car off. The dash is perfect and is crack free. All the gauges and lights work as they should. The original radio and speakers were replaced with a high dollar Sony sound system that sounds great. All the courtesy lights as well as all the running lights work as they should. Also the lights, horn, turn signals, defroster, and even the lighter work. The A/C blows ICE COLD and heat works well! All the glass and rubbers look excellent. Mechanically, this 911 is in excellent condition! The engine compartment is clean as a whistle and shows how well this car was kept. The car itself has just over 120,000 original miles but the engine itself has less than 10,000mi on the rebuild. At the time of needing the rebuild, the previous owner opted for a faster turnaround by going with a fresh 2.7L 911S motor the shop had just rebuilt. The engine is still the correct displacement of 2.7L but was sourced from a '76 911S and was built with many performance parts and is producing more than 180hp! The car has most of its service history going back over the last 15 years including completely new brakes at around 110k, New A/C Compressor around 110k, Complete New Fuel System (Fuel Distributor, Fuel Pump, Warm Up Regulator, Fuel Accumulator), All New Bilstein Shocks, New Pertronics Ignition and NGK Spark Plugs at 113k, and much more. Over $12,000 has been spent on maintenance and repairs in the last 10,000 miles! A local Porsche shop in Tempe, AZ, and Tucson, AZ has always done the service work. The car was recently given a clean bill of health and the motor has excellent leak down compression and passed emissions with flying colors! The suspension is tight and true and handles as a Porsche should. The car easily cruises at Autobahn speeds well over 120 mph. The odometer reads a bit over 120,000 miles, which is traced in the service records, as well as documented by the Arizona title. All systems work and the car has zero issues and is a true pleasure to drive. The Air Conditioning was just serviced and blows Ice Cold. This little diamond and is ready for the next cruise night or car show. An original owners manual and service book will be included as well as a beautiful full color 1974 dealer brochure, and technical sheet. The full stack of service history will also accompany the car.
