You are looking at a 1968 Buick Skylark convertible. This was a running car a few years ago until the engine threw a rod, now it is a project car. The overall body condition is good, some minor lower body repairs are necessary. Some minor rust through on the floors. The 2 speed transmission functioned well. The frame and undercarriage has some rust but no rust through. There is some bondo in the lower fenders and quarter panels. The engine shown under the hood is a 1970 SP code 4bbl Hi compression. The engine is standard bore and can be reassembled with the original standard size pistons and rings. I have the original pistons and connecting rods. The original crank has been reconditioned by a local machine shop to 0.10 undersize and I have a second crank that was reconditioned to 0.10 undersize. I have new standard size piston rings and 0.10 undersize main and rod bearings for the reconditioned crank. I have heads and a 2bbl intake and carb from a 1973 350. If you choose to have the block bored 0.30 over, I have 7 almost new pistons with rings and connecting rods and a camshaft. The original engine in the car when I bought it threw a rod about 50 miles after a rebuild, that's the reason for the 0.30 over pistons and rings. I was going to reassemble the SP code block with the original pistons and the newly cut crank. I have almost everything you need to reassemble this engine. You will need a timing chain and some other minor parts. I have some NOS parts that go along with the sale. I have new carpet purchased from Year one that is included. Since this vehicle is not running it can not be driven onto a car carrier. This is a pre-1973 vehicle and in NYS no titles were issued.
