Vehicle Detail
For sale: A rare 1969 Toyota Corona Mark II station wagon. Most Toyota Coronas made were sedans or coupes, but very few wagons are available. This one was special ordered by the dealer before the required 1970 smog law changes were made. This is one of the first in California; no east coast rust! This is a car for someone who appreciates quality workmanship; when stuff lasted; was capable; and meant to be refinished; not just thrown away. This car was a functioning vehicle, but it was partially dismantled for restoration, preparation, and painting. The entire vehicle parts are complete. The engine was in good running condition and compression before being removed. The manual transmission is also in working order. The body is in good condition. It has some rust on the lower front fenders and lower corner of front doors; as shown in the pictures. Pros: This vehicle has had only 1 original owner. There is one unused pink slip vehicle transfer. This Toyota Corona Mark II was equipped with tinted glass as a factory extra. Being a California vehicle, it has very little rust for its age. This vehicle sale is sold as a package: complete car, extra duplicate parts, after market performance parts, and associated written documentation. The following items included in sale of vehicle: 1. Original dealer window sticker. (?) 2. Original dealer model line brochure. ($25) 3. Original owners manual. ($40) 4. Original complete Toyota tool kit. ($75) 5. Original car jack, rod, and handle. ($70) 6. All three Toyota Corona Mark II original factory repair manuals Engine, Body, Chassis. ($140) 7. After market dual-port Offenhauser performance intake manifold. ($300) 8. After market oil and amp. meter gauges. ($25) 9. Extra rear headlight assembly set. ($150) 10. Extra distributor assembly. ($50) 11. Extra rear hatch handle with emblem. ($50) 12. New speedometer cable. ($25) 13. One extra bumper rubber. ($25) 14. New after market complete clutch kit - plate, disc, throw out bearing, etc. ($150) 15. Partial engine gasket kit. ($25) 16. Two STP oil filters. ($5.00) Items listed in ($) are approximate fair market collector value. Total estimated extra collector items valued ($1155) The Kelley Blue Book Early Model Guide 1948-1989 Cars and Trucks Collectors Edition shows the lowest value in "Fair condition" is $1525 on pg. 470 Additional equipment value with 4-SPD Manual Transmission adds $1500 as shown on pg. 7 TOTAL ESTIMATED VEHICLE PACKAGE VALUE $4180 To see the KBB Early Model Guide pricing click on this link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/9166132@N06/sets/72157623806476377/ Cons: This vehicle was involved in two separate rear end collisions. The damage was moderate, but cosmetic, and not affecting drivability or tracking. The body was straightened, but unprofessionally finished. It needs bodywork. The rear hatch and bumper was replaced after the accident as stated by my father with a 70 or 71 hatch. The 8RC head was replaced with an 18RC head. All window rubbers and most rubber parts need to be replaced. The front window is fogged up. It needs a new brake reservoir cap. May need new starter, alternator, slave clutch cylinder, and shifting ball linkage. The shifting forks are worn. The steering linkage is worn. It has some rust on the driver side lower front fender and lower corner of front door. All unique vehicle parts are complete. It may be missing minor fastening hardware.
