You are bidding on 1998 Honda Civic LX with manual transmission. The car records show 2 owners, but in practice I was the only owner, the previous registrant was my brother who helped me get it. It was used for commute only. I'm a non-smoker, and also didn't allow others to smoke in the car. The car has no mechanical problems and runs just fine. All of the problems with the car are cosmetic with the worst being the cracked and chipped windshield (stable) and major scratches at the rear passenger-side wheel arc. The rest are minor dents and scratches from inconsiderate people at parking lots. Please note the dent on the driver-side front wheel arc as it's hard to see in the photos. The car has never been been in an accident, the damage to the rear wheel arc occurred during a botched parking job by a family member. It was never flooded, but it's worthy to note it was driven in snow and salted streets. The current tires were installed at odometer reading about 45000 miles, so they have 44000 miles on them. They are Michelin Harmony, rated for 80K. The battery was replaced about 1 year ago. The break pads were replaced just few months ago. The car was taken to the Honda agency for maintenance several times, but I didn't follow the recommended maintenance schedule. I only used synthetic Mobile-1 oil and changed the oil every 5K. I used medium grade fuel during summer and premium grade during winter. What's bad about the car: Damage on rear passenger-side wheel arc Windshield has a stable crack and a stable chip. Scratches and door dents Slight whistling noise when idle (probably needs lubrication) Part of the illumination of air conditioner control sometimes doesn't come on. Paint has dulled. Air conditioner is not as good as our other car. It was like this when the car was new. Used in snow No key-less Entry and original stereo can't be located. Major Repairs: Replaced Radiator with original Honda part after pebble pierced original (~ 8 years ago.) Replaced defective alternator with refurbished original Honda part (~ 6 years ago.) Replaced driver-side power window motor with original Honda part (~ 6 years ago.) Replaced rusted muffler with original Honda part (~ 3 or 4 years ago.) Even though I tried to list everything about the car, it's being sold AS IS with no guarantees. I will not sell outside the auction and I will not ship. You must pick up the car from me. The auction has no reserve, I will honor the winning bid even if low.
