Vehicle Detail

Up for bid in this auction is this 1961 Ford Galaxie Starliner, a California car from new, built at the Los Angeles plant. This is an X code car, having a 352 and a cruise-O-matic from the factory. It has been repainted it's original color of Chesapeake Blue, a fairly rare color, I have not seen another Starliner in this color. This car is now equipt with a '72 service replacement 427 side-oiler block with lots of goodies that include a Nascar steel crank, LeMans rods, Diamond pistons, Edelbrock aluminum heads that were ported by DSC motorsports, a FoMoCo "sidewinder" single four alum. intake manifold with a Holley 750 double pumper carb., a windage tray, canton oil pan, a C5AE dual point distributor, Sig Erson mechanical cam with 1.76 roller rockers and more, did I say fast? For a transmission it has a new David Kee 1 3/8 input shaft toploader that was original equiptment for a '66 7 Litre Galaxie 500, I got this trans right from the shipping crate, a new Centerforce clutch, and the whole motor / trans combo has about 22 hours on them. The car is a rust free example, that has been repainted and has many NOS parts on it, including quarter moldings. The front end has been rebuilt, has manual steering, and it steers like a dream!, and power disc brakes, a new fuel tank, a new 3/8 fuel line, new carpets, a full array of under dash gauges, police scanner, a fiberglas bubble hood, I also have the original hood which can be included in this auction, a brand new stereo / CD player and new speakers that have not been hooked up yet, a brand new top-o-the line radiator by "Radiator George" of Oakland, new Hurst shift linkage, and an Original set of 15 X 7 American Torque Thrust "D" wheels, a rebuilt 3.50 to 1 traction lock 9" third member, a new 2 1/2" exhaust system that includes new Flowmaster mufflers, and a nice set of shorty cast iron headers from a 60-62 Galaxie. The seats were redone several years ago in blue vinyl. I am sure I forgot to mention a few things, and I am sure that whoever should buy this car will be quite satisfied with it. I will help the buyer with shipping arangements, and I would like a one thousand dollar deposit within 48 hours of auction closing. Serious buyers may call me on my cell phone at (510) 207-3203.
