Up for auction is a 1963 Buick LeSabre Convertible with 71,485 original miles. The car was sold new at my grandfather's Buick dealership on October 18, 1963. The car was later traded back in to his dealership on November 20, 1972 and has been in his personal car collection ever since. Buy the car from the dealer who sold it new! The paint is mostly original and is begining to show its age but still shows very nice. No areas of rust. The car does have areas of repair on the drivers side quarter panel, where the paint is begining to crack (I have tried to show in the picture below). The interior is all original and looks great, padded dash has no cracks or fading. The convertible top was replaced in 1995, the original boot is in great condition. Rear floor mats are brand new NOS, front mats are original and show wear. Engine is the Wildcat 410 V-8 with the optional automatic twin turbine transmission. The engine runs great and automatic transmission shifts smoothly. A complete new exhaust system was installed in 2007 and a new thermostat and hoses were installed last month. Convertible top goes down great but needs help when coming back up. Optional equipment ordered on the car are as follows: twin turbine automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, soundmatic radio with manual antenna (works great), rear seat speaker, safety group (back up lights, safety buzzer, trip odometer, courtesy lights), instrument panel lower roll pad, windshield washer with dual speed wiper overlap, soft ray tinted glass (windshield only), custom padded cushions, deluxe wheel covers, accessory group (electric clock (does not work), license plate frame, trunk light), body side moldings (full length), protection group (door guards, gas filler door guard), remote control outside rear view mirror, and white sidewall tires. I have the original owners manual, convertible top manual, sales brochure, dealer copy of the window sticker, dealer invoice, factory build sheet, and shipping sheet (the car left Linden, New Jersey on 5/13/1963 and arrived at Fox Buick on 5/15/1963). These go with the car. The car is a great driver and can be enjoyed as is. It has been driven sparingly over the past 38 years since it has been in my grandfathers collection. Always garage kept. I believe you would have a difficult time finding any with as detailed history as this one with the paperwork to back it up. I have done my best to be honest about any imperfections on the car.
